Erdogan faked a coup so that he could round up all his opponents. I have long said that Trump will do the same thing.

Might edit this and respond to more, but Kushner paid tribute to Kirk by saying that he basically replaced the preexisting conference/organizer roles within the Republican Party in 2016, and took a lot of heat because of it. My only argument really about his rhetoric is that it was very typical mainstream MAGA stuff. People are sort of in a roundabout way saying that if you're a public Trump guy your family shouldn't be all that surprised to see you gunned down. It's not great messaging going into 2028 in my opinion. But truth be told, I don't know what is anymore.

Whenever a controversial political figure dies I am reminded of this sketch from "Not the Nine O'Clock News," a sketch show from the late 70s/early 80s (yes, that is Mr. Bean - this is how he became famous)

I didn’t either. I had seen/heard his name before, but knew nothing about his political ideology.

No. Not at all. If you are knowingly spreading lies and misinformation publicly (and in fact amplifying the lies and disinformation on social media), in an attempt to harm other people or restrict their rights then you shouldn't be surprised if the people who are harmed come after you.

It just so happens that MAGA and Trump guy use to stay relevant.

They are going to have to change that if they want to see violence reduced. But I'm not sure they want to see that. In fact all indications lead me to believe that they want more violence. And since they are in power they are probably going to get it.

I would argue your take here is highly problematic IMO.

'making yourself a target + what you say matters' - does not equal green light for violence.

But by omission - your statement actually insinuates exactly that:
That people who speak (spread lies) are valid targets for violence and should expect being shot / offended physically.

I would argue all here should oppose this logic.

If someone spreads lies - teach people to see through it. If someone manipulates words - put him in place and stand corrected.
If you have a set a values you believe in - teach others about it and offer them to join in shared values.

Ammunition in Kirk Shooting Engraved With Transgender, Antifascist Ideology: Sources

Investigators found ammunition engraved with expressions of transgender and antifascist ideology inside the rifle that authorities believe was used in the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk, according to an internal law-enforcement bulletin and a person familiar with the investigation.

The older-model .30 caliber hunting rifle was discovered in the woods near the scene of Wednesday’s shooting at Utah Valley University, wrapped in a towel with a spent cartridge still in the chamber, the sources said. There were also three unspent rounds in the magazine, all with wording on them.

This seems... convenient? Trans and ANTIFA, the two scary boogiemen for the right.

Trump is going to declare ANTIFA a terrorist organization and Portland is going to take it in the ass.

I don't know why people are shocked by this. The GOP and Maga have control and they want to keep control forever. The only way to do that is to seize control. They were always evil but this is their opportunity to take over America.
