Fuck it. Take the Yankees out. They are going to have to beat them eventually. I'm just not sold on Toronto.

Agree with you on the Blue Jays ... still not sure how they are winning at the pace they are, but American League is WIDE OPEN as every team has glaring flaws. Feels like a season where the top 2 or 3 teams are in the NL.

Come on guys. The top half of that is a way better path than the bottom.

Theres a 4% chance, but ALL 6 teams have to do amazingly well where we go 0-6 or 1-5.

Most likely both divisions will be well known who is winning them, so while it will be good, I doubt its going to be intense.

October baseball is intense to me. Just not much like it.

I was just asking, cause that lady said it would be “epic”. Do baseball teams not sit players when they have spots wrapped up like other sports? Wouldn’t seem “epic” if the
    Mo-Tany guy ain’t playin’.

Ohtani will be playing, but baseball when you have playoffs wrapped up (unless the division is close), you set up your pitchers for optimal starting pitching matchups in the playoffs.

So ohtani might pitch a day earlier or a day later to set up the best pitching matchups in the playoffs.

He will most likely DH all the games though.

I would mock you here but really I just feel pity for you not getting to enjoy the best postseason sport to it's fullest. Baseball playoffs can literally hang on the next pitch, where ever they are at in a game. There is so much anxiety built up over the course of 9 innings that it can just be a beautiful torture chamber of emotions. No other sport comes close except for maybe playoff hockey, that is a crazy fun/emotional time as well.

Sadly (or maybe not so sadly) it will probably shape up to be a series of just getting guys work as both teams SHOULD have their divisions wrapped up by then. Seattle needs a combo of only three wins by them or loses from Houston to wrap up the ALW and the Dodgers are in a similar situation as they hold the tiebreaker and a 2.5 game lead on SD. As nice as it is to miss out on the WC round and not have to worry about elimination, in a sport like baseball where the day to day grind probably helps these guys, I fear a team being as hot as Seattle losing their momentum with an extended break.

It’s so crazy because literally one swing of the bat can change an entire series. The game is very seldom over until it’s finished. We have watched this for a century and some people still don’t get it.

I have to agree NBA playoffs can get good but there are a bunch of blowouts. Football is one game but yes the endings can be exciting.
I’m a sports fan so I like most all of them.
Baseball is different in October. Not much like it.

If Robles mistimes that jump, that ball misses the sliding Julio and thats a 3 run inside the park home run and they win the game and the division is tied again. Instead now we have a 3 game lead in the division. (4 really, because of the tie breaker, which this catch also secured)

That was one of the wildest catches ive ever seen, given the circumstances.
