Or he wants an extra year to get paid by Oregon. I have read the same theories as you have on 247, but it is very possible he wants to be in Eugene for all 3 years that his brother is there. Or at least I hope that is the case.

All this love, and I still can't help but feel that if Penn St had just kept the ball on the ground, that's an L.

If they had kept the ball on the ground, I don't think there would have been enough time for those 2 4th qrt TDs.

asking for a redshirt season is almost always the precursor to entering the transfer portal. And it's likely not a coincidence he's asking for a redshirt season after it's become pretty clear that the Duck true freshman duo of Dierre Hill and Jordan Davidson have ascended to primary roles

I don't think his release is quick, at all. I don't have the data to back it up, so maybe I'm wrong. I think he has an arm, but doesn't throw the greatest ball. And I'm not saying he's awful or going to be awful. He's QB5 on this roster, Novosad never was that.

Time will tell, but I think the QB standard at Oregon, under Dan Lanning has been really high. I don't see Smith getting there.

I'm just saying, PSU's final drive of regulation was all running, as was their OT TD. UO no longer had the energy to handle their ground game. Going to the air in the 2nd OT was just dumb.

it was a 62 yard drive and 33 of the yards were on scrambles and a QB draw by Drew Allar. PSU also completed two 7 yard passes. The RB's ran for 22 yards on 9 carries...2.4 yards a run. That drive was because the Ducks went man-to-man and cover-2 on defense and lost contain on Allar 3 times. It wasn't PSU running down the gut on Oregon's front-7

again, the Ducks had to travel 3 time zones to the east; had to play in what is generally considered the most hostile environment in college football; and play against a higher rated team that had 2 weeks to prepare for the game and had a 2-deep with twice as much experience as the younger Ducks. And the Ducks faced adversity, maintained their poise, and won the damn game. But sure, Penn State could have won if they had done things differently and played better. Oregon could have won by 17 if they had done things differently and played better

    meaning: the better team won

Actually if you watch again Penn State right Tackle I believe had cramps or some injury on the last drive in regulation. The OT drive had a key pass play. I don’t think it was out of the question to mix it up a bit. Ducks were waiting for run. That pick was just in reach. If that ball was an inch higher it’s a big completion.

Looks like they expanded the roster for college basketball. I see the Ducks have 17 players listed. I assume 2 are walk-ons that don't count. Nonetheless, I love the depth those 4 international players add to the team.
