Abortion is a hot topic as of late, just recently the supreme court banned partial birth abortions. If you don't know what that is I suggest you google it, it's a pretty graphic procedure. I don't think there is any definite yes or no answer to this so I am not going to do a poll. I will post my feelings on it if the thread goes well at all. For or against abortion? Why?
There should be a limit to the amount of abortions one can have. If the same person keeps getting abortion of after abortion because she is irresponsible and can't handle with such aspects, then she shouldn't be granted the right to have these abortions. I think the limit should be one, because sometimes it happens accidentally. I don't think a person should have more than one abortion because then potential people are being dismissed on their train ride to the new world, life.
So.. Whats the topic? What we think about abortion as a whole? If it is, then here's my opinion on it. I think abortion is fine as long as, stated above, they don't get abortion after abortion. It's not a form of birth control people. I find abortion fine, some people make mistakes, and instead of having a miserable mother raising a miserable child, remove it. Those who argue fetuses are "alive" argue this is equal to killing a newborn child. Its not. Everyone starts the same, as an empty slate. It can't be determined as killing a person if they aren't self-aware yet, and aren't even a fully developed human yet. That's what i think at least.
reasons why i dont aprove -to many people do it for convience when they perfectly can have it and it can still be alive -mental and phyiscal after effects -ending life, regardless of what people say, its still living though its not a completly human reasons that i do aprove of -if a high chance of death will happen to the mother -if it was a rape, and even then, the woman would have to be in a bind then for me to even accept it. -the child was going to live an extremly painful light (inborn AIDS, extremly light sensitive, seriously retarded<-- in the literal sense) -impossible to raise. As in, no family or money once so eve
I feel like unless you are the father/brother/husband/whatever to the affected female then you really have no say over said females reproductive freedoms. Scientifically consciousness begins to form somewhere around the third trimester, scientifically life is not at conception, conscious life that is. You can argue that in theory it is life, sure, but scientifically there isnt. I know that if abortion is banned completely more women will die.
hmm. My mum gets really pissed off with abortions as she and my dad are trying for another. So when she sees wreckless girls getting preggers it pisses her right off. I couldn't give a rats ass. Of course if it were mine it would be a different case
