It would seem he is finally on his way out after he has reportedly handed in his transfer request. I am praying this is idle speculation but truth be told, after the way Rafa treated him it would make sense for him to leave. Hopefully the press have put 2 and 2 together when they saw Alonso go through Madrid Airport (to get to San Sebastien his home) and have just fabricated all this. Aquillani would certainly not be my first choice to replace him either!
who are you going to replace him with? I was never a big fan of liverpool's midfield to begin with, but without him, that hurts. Do you think gerrard will have to drop back and play CM again?
