Arsenal would get 30m from Cesc and whatever bid price Barca put forward, supposedly 25m. But it won't happen.

    Edit: uncertain.

    I would welcome that.

Would the buy-out make him a free agent? In that case there would be no transfer fee, just whatever Cesc forked over to us.

    Nevermind, I wouldn't welcome that.

    - Arsenal have entered the race to sign Micah Richards from City. His asking price is believed to be around £9million.

    - Bordeaux are denying that Arsenal have shown interest in their playmaker Yohann Gourcuff. [source]
    - But both Manchester United and Arsenal are waiting in the wings to pounce if City and Toure fail to come to an agreement. We don't need him. We already have Alexandre Song and Craig Eastmond. Aaron Ramsey can also fill in for that position.
    - Arsenal could offer £7m plus youngsters Francis Coquelin and Armand Traore for FC Lorient defender Laurent Koscielny after an initial £4m bid was rejected. Good player and would be a good signing. Much better player than Diakhaté and will probably go for a smaller price.
    - Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas is set for clear the air talks with manager Arsene Wenger after being left in limbo by the club's strong stance over his proposed move to Barcelona. From the moment I read this rumor, I knew that it was a straight lie created by the media. Fabregas has officially said that his future will be left in Arsenal's (Arsene's) hands, so why would he be frustrated with the manager's choice? We can't say Fabregas didn't see the rejection coming.

    - Arsenal enter race to sign City's Micah Richards. [source] I'm starting to support this signing, guys!

Richards looked like some talent, but lately has stalled at city, I know he's a gunner fan since he was a kid, which is a plus. 9M sounds like a reasonable price, considering english players are too damn expensive.

    - Arsenal are standing firm over Barcelona's attempt to sign captain Cesc Fabregas. The Gunners say they will not do business at any price, having earlier rejected a £30m bid from the Spanish giants for the midfielder.
    - Despite Arsenal's defiance, Barcelona intend to go back to the Gunners with an improved offer for the Spanish midfielder.
    - And Barcelona's president Joan Laporta has urged Arsenal to let Fabregas join the Catalan club this summer.
    - However, would-be Barcelona president Sandro Rosell says the club will not be held to ransom despite their desire to sign Fabregas.
    - Argentina striker Gonzalo Higuain has snubbed a move to England by signing a new deal with Real Madrid. Arsenal and Chelsea were said to be tracking the 22-year-old.
    - Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is wanted by Japan as their national coach having previously coached club side Grampus Eight for two years.

^ I would say he's too old but its not like we picked up Lehmann when he was a spring chick, either.

Most say he'd be a stop-gap until Wojciech Szczęsny is ready, but who knows really. Seem like an upgrade over Almunia and Flopinski

We want our replacement to be old. If we play Schwarzer as our number 1 for a season or two, Tex will be ready to take the helm.

I read an interesting article on the Cesc saga but I can't find the link again. It basically said that the guy who is next in line to become the President of Barcelona has been talking closely to Gazidas (Arsenal) about the Cesc deal years before it become a public 'negotiation'. Supposedly, Arsenal and Barca have already agreed to let Fabregas leave the club by the end of the 2012 season which will guarantee Fabregas will stay for another year.

Arsenal are interested in Danish international Simon Kjaer and Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani, both of Serie A side Palermo.

    - Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is lining up a move for Germany playmaker Mesut Ozil, with the Gunners considering a £12m bid for Werder Bremen's 21-year-old.
    - Arsenal defender William Gallas is wanted by Greek side Panathinaikos.
    - Barcelona president Joan Laporta is "totally sure" the Catalan club will sign Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

I'm willing to try any GK as long as we don't see those 2 clowns between the posts next season, they are an embarrassment to watch. As for Ozil, if he has a really good WC, his price is going to skyrocket to at least 30M, werder will wait after WC.
