I don't know what to think about that. At least he's a experienced Premier League player, I guess. He'll also give us some depth in the back if he does come back. Thinking about it, we don't really have much trouble in any area of the pitch.

Possible forwards: Adebayor, van Persie, Vela, Bendtner, Walcott, Arshavin, Eduardo
Possible wingers: van Persie, Arshavin, Diaby, Walcott, Vela, Nasri, Rosicky, Eboue
Attacking midfielders: van Persie, Arshavin, Nasri, Rosicky
Central: Fabregas, Denilson, Wilshere, Rosicky, Diaby, Ramsey
    Defensive midfielders: Song, Nasri, Ramsey
Wing backs: Clichy, Gibbs, Eboue, Sagna, Traore
Central def: Toure, Gallas, Silvestre, Song, Djourou, Senderos

Defensive midfielders is where we could get a new player.

Don't forget the new Belgian, too.

I'm still adamant that we need a high level keeper but nobody seems concerned with that.

It would be nice, but who? The only 'keeper I can ever think of is Akinfeev. He's a beast.

Would you be apprehensive about Adebayor leaving?

Only because it leaves us small in the front when we are small to begin with.

    - Viera his hinted that he will be leaving Inter as he told the press that he would be willing to play in England again. This is good news for Redknapp, but bad news for Arsenal and Spurs fans?
    - Tottenham have missed out on their opportunity to sign Huntelaar after Stuttgart had an offer accepted for the player. The Arsenal target may not be headed to Germany yet.
    - Arsenal legend, Ray Parlour, has hit out at Adebayor by calling him "lazy" and stating that he showed a lack of commitment during his Arsenal career. He also believes Wenger has done some good business by getting a reported £25m for the player.

    That's all for today.

I have no problems with offloading Adebuymore.

I do have a problem with selling him to Citeh, or any other EPL team for that matter.

I will not be happy if Vieira goes to Spurts.

Yep, but 25m... That's too big of an offer to turn down. That's some fucking awesome business.

    - Adebayor is waiting for AC Milan to match Manchester City's offer before signing anything; word is he would rather go to Milan but is going to sign for whoever offers more money
    - As a result, Adebayor missed out on Sheikh Mansour's gifts to City players Wednesday in Abu Dhabi, rumoured to be watches worth about £168,000 each
    - A £7-million offer has been made for Marouane Chamakh (Bordeaux) but the team wants Arsenal to include Mikael Silvestre in the deal

    - Manchester City are going to throw £30-million at Diego Forlan (Athletico Madrid) if they can't get Adebayor
    - Arsenal are offering £10-million plus Philippe Senderos for defender Brede Hangeland (Fulham)
    - Marouane Chamakh (Bordeaux) would consider a move to Arsenal "perfect"

Is Chamakh better than Eduardo, Bendtner, or even Carlos Vela? I've never seen him play, IIRC.

    I'm glad he's tall, though.

Also, Brede Hangeland is a giant.

Chamakh has a mixture of Adebayor's power, Eduardo's finishing, and van Persie's footwork/power--But of course, they aren't on the same level. It sounds like he's the perfect player but he isn't that consistent from what I've seen. Hopefully that will change when he comes to Arsenal and he may settle in perfectly. I would currently rate him as our fourth striker assuming including Adebayor. I may be totally wrong when he joins though.

Yeah, he really is. It will be great to add yet another name to the back four as you can never have more depth. Hangeland is quality and I'd see him starting over Vermaelen. Maybe this means Toure might be leaving? Hopefully not.

Pretty good summer for us, guys. We've been linked with a bunch of quality players.

    - Not dressing against Barnet is pretty much confirmation that Adebayor is on his way out
    - Chelsea have jumped into the fight for Adebayor's services, riling City
    - Adding to this mess is a £2m loyalty bonus Adebayor is asking for because he didn't request a transfer
    - Bordeaux claims not to have had any conversations with Arsenal regarding Chamakh

    - Arsenal's offer to Bordeaux for Chamakh has increased to £10-million, and their manager expects a decision to be made by Thursday
    - Wenger believes Gunners' fans resentment over Emmanuel Adebayor's dalliance with AC Milan and Barcelona last summer drove the Togo striker to join Manchester City
    - Manchester City's owners are reportedly willing to invest upwards of £600-million in transfers should they land John Terry (Chelsea) and Joleon Lescott (Everton)

Why don't we go for a higher quality player now that we've made another 20 odd million?

With Melo and Cana off the table, I wouldn't mind taking a run at someone like Jérémy Toulalan or Miguel Veloso. I can't see Toure or some of the other high end DM's leaving their squads.

We really need to pursue Veloso.
