A lot of bad experiences prior to the game with Husky fans, but once again the game more than made up for it.

Just happy to win that one, and here's to never allowing another 7:30 Duck/Husky game at either venue. Just brutal treatment by a small, but vocal, minority of Pup fans prior to the game at their 'commercial' tailgate area. Very angry fans for UW, and last night is like pouring gasoline on a fire.

I hate UW football and their fans, though, and it is sad that all it takes is 1% of a fanbase to make that general impression. I talked to quite a few Duck fans who were shocked by the treatment they received prior to the game.

You mix it up with any dog fans?

Read about similar incidents and have had my fair share of unpleasant incidents at h-Stadium. Any specifics, Papa?

How sweet is 8 in a row and closing out the "legacy" of that crappy stadium - on SR day - homecoming (?) with a Duck pounding!?

Nope. We just left for the stadium. I'm too old for that shit. I did get punched in the chest, though by some asshole who got my attention by saying "nice shirt" to me. That did it for me, and it was time to leave.

I think it's more the 730 start than the notion that UW fans are better or worse than anyone else.

I went to a Seahawks game, as a Seahawks fan, and two idiots tried to pick a fight with me and my two younger-but-larger brothers b/c of some liquid courage. I've seen stupid fan behavior @Notre Dame, @Duke, @SDSU. Can't speak to Husky Stadium or Autzen.

Either way, sorry you had to go through that, PapaG. I'm a big fan that idiots that do that kind of thing go to jail. And get their wallet lightened up.

With such a late start you know people were hammered last night. People were probably tailgating since noon.

It was no big deal. I'm a big boy and a younger me would have been right back into their face, and I've been to dozens of Duck games, including the last four at Autzen North. The funny thing is that I only had two beers all day prior to just giving up and going into the stadium. Although, that may be why I gave up and just went into the stadium?!?! :)

I agree with the 7:30 start as a bad idea, especially for a fanbase as insecure as Husky fans these days. My brother and I were talking to a few Duck fans right before we left for the stadium (my bro is a Husky), and we found out that some old lady had thrown a beer at them for daring to try and watch 'Bama/LSU while wearing Duck colors at their tailgate. I said that I knew once it was announced as a 7:30 start that there would be trouble, and the Duck fan (who was about 6'4", 250+) with his wife said he hadn't considered that. Of course, they live in Austin, TX, and came up specifically for this game, and said that even aTm fans (his wife is an Aggie grad) aren't treated at an aTm/UT in Austin like they were treated in Seattle last night. We all just ended up going into the stadium together and went our separate ways.

Forgot to add the 40-something Husky fan who was standing up and screaming how "GAY" the Ducks' formation is on extra points. He and his buddies never returned after half-time, though, and it was only a 7 point game at that point. Smart fan, I guess.

You misinterpreted him. He was calling out for an evening of husky on husky man love. Sounds like his mating call was successful.
