Any thought on Steven Gerrard as captain? I know he's got some questions in his recent past, but so does Rio. At least Gerrard is a club captain.

 

I would choose Gerrard over any other player. I don't know why he isn't considered the back-up captain, anyway.

He's a great captain for Liverpool even through the controversial periods. He's my choice for the armband.

 

Yeah, I rate Lampard but I feel like he doesn't perform as well when he puts on the England shirt. Who else could you see getting the Captain's armband besides Lampard, Gerrard, Terry, and Ferdinand?

 

No! He's our main hope of scoring a shitload of goals -- I feel like making him captain could jeopardize his current form.
