I think we got fair compensation and am happy with the trade.

There were not enough minutes for everyone and the allocation money will be key. Got really tired of seeing Coop fall on the ground all the time and he had to be inside to be effective. The pick helps and as well as more minutes for our youngsters.

funny what a good Midfield will do for a guy... oh and a great Striker next to him. Boyd would have 30 over a full year there. I wish Cooper well... seemed like a class guy here.

I wonder if Merritt feels dumb now on trading Cooper. It seems like Spencer was prohibiting him on his style (cooper) of play perhaps?

Cooper ended with 18 goals for the 2012-2013 season.
Imagine if he had a better M/F for the timbers that fend him the shots.

Cooper played well late in the season for the Timbers. He just crossed Spencer with the penalty kick crying and it seemed like he was in the dog house after that. He looked much better in the middle than he did on the outside as well.

We need to get better in a bunch of spots.
