If he finishes the season strong he could definitely make a case -- Hopefully he'll start for Spain (kind of crazy he doesn't in the first place).
I'm not convinced that Fabregas is the best at his position from his own country. Being local and teammates are part of the reason why Iniesta and Xavi are ahead of him, but I think skills are a part of it too. As for the rest of this list, how is Rooney behind Drogba and Anelka?
Now that Fabregas has got an eye for goal, I feel like it has brought a whole new dimension to his game. I don't really see Iniesta or Xavi score that much for club and country. I think he should be behind Drogba but behind Anekla? Not sure.
