I don't know quite how things work in the USA or anywhere other than England to be honest, but here we take our final exams of secondary school in June and then get the results in August. The results essentially decide which courses you can do at sixth form, which ultimately decides what you can do at University. My results were as follows (I got them yesterday):
    Maths: A*
    Statistics: A*
    English Language: A*
    English Literature: A*
    Biology: A*
    Chemistry: A*
    Physics: A*
    History: A*
    French: A*
    Spanish: A
    Graphic Products: A
    Religious Studies: A

So now I can take 5 subjects next year, followed by 4 the following year, and I'm hoping to go on to study Economics & Management at Oxford University.

The graphic products class basically consists of technical drawing and the designing and manufacturing of a point of sales display. My coursework was worth 60% of the grade, and was 40 A3 pages long. I got an A for it, but can't help feeling that if the teacher spent less time with the 'problem students' I could have achieved an A*. If you want to see any specifications or anything, look here.

With the grades I have achieved I just think that I have to reach for the stars and put myself out to do the best I can. I'm also thinking of trying to find out about schools like Harvard and Stanford.

^^ I'd recommend Stanford ahead of Harvard if graphics is a field you want to pursue.

I'm probably looking more into Economics as a field to work in, rather than graphics. Graphics involves too much drawing as a profession. (which am shockingly bad at)

Look at University of Chicago if you're thinking about Economics, one of the best. Also I don't know much at all about it, but isn't the London School of Economics just about the best there is?

If those asterisks are any indication you must be using performance enhancing drugs.

A* just means A+. And no, I have never taken performance enhancing drugs. Or any other drugs, actually. [IMG]

Excellent grades chingy!! I am sure your parents are both really proud of you. If you are thinking about doing Economics or Business I would look at the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania. It is the top notch business school in the United States.

Yes, indeed. It was the school of Donald Trump himself.

Overall, it ranks 5th best in the nation.

No, they're my GCSEs. I take my A-Levels in 2 years time. And I'm getting a new top of the range PC with an HD Monitor also to be used with the PS3 for my room as a gift. I love good results [IMG]
