One of my ancestors a while back was sainted. He was a rabbi who people thought was dead and they took him to jerusalem to bury him. Back then the way they tested to see if people were dead was to see if they fogged up a mirror put in front of them. By that test, they assumed he was dead. Like so many others back then, eventually he woke up and stood up, and they were all shocked because in their opinion he had died, so they sainted him.
I am related to Pirate Klaus St?rtebeker"St?rtebeker and all of his 73 companions were sentenced to death and were beheaded. The most famous legend of St?rtebeker is about the execution itself. It is said that St?rtebeker asked the mayor of Hamburg to release as many of his companions as he could walk past after being beheaded. The rather riskless request was granted. After he was beheaded, St?rtebeker's body allegedly got up and walked past twelve of St?rtebeker's companions before the body was tripped by the executioner. The twelve men, however, were executed along with all of the others."

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>My great great great great (something) grandfather was Benjamin Harrison (Presidnet of the U.S.)</div>So you're also related to Benjamin Harrison V, and William Henry Harrison than, quite a political family there. My grand parents are really into geneology, and here are some people I am related to. Harald Hardrada(last Viking King), Louis XIII of France, John Stockton(one of the first colonist, not the NBA player; though we do share this common ancestor) Richard Stockton(signer of the Declairation of Independence), Robert Feild Stockton(First Govenour of California), John Brown(the guy who raided the arsenal at Harpers Ferry), Albert Sydney Johnston(Confederate General killed at Shiloh). I'm also related to a half dozen other famous vikings, 15 former Kings of Mid-evil Europe, a Pope, and about 500 other people who where hung as criminals, most for piracy.
My mom taught Michael Axelrod in elementary school. He was the guy that Kendra Davis (wife of Antonio) said was harassing her... and then AD jumped in the stands and I'm sure you remember.
My great uncle is Phil Regan, former MLB player and coach/pitching coach. Still coaches but minor league, West Michigan Whitecaps. Got a lot of free tickets to ball games. Best year was probably when he coached the O's, he got fired after the year but it was the year Cal Ripken broke the Ironman record. Truly a moment I won't forget.
