I thought that were just the leagues we could draft players from? His example was of players from the Netherlands, and we aren't using players from erdivisia (sp? lol)
But how will we get assigned random countries if there are 195 in the world? If eight people participate he'll probably add eight countries then he'll assign each country a random number dispense them that way. I want Spain!
So the competition changes by week, but there are some weeks where zee Germans aren't playing, so the guy with Germany gets screwed? What about rather than a 1-on-1 week-by-week competition, we have a season long accumulation. So most goals gets 8, then 7, 6, etc. Then the guy with zee Germans, can have four random matches (preselected at random) count twice so each player is eligible for 38 matches. That way we just pick 11 starters and a manager and all is even. Players can be released or put on injured reserved as the season goes on, but each of the 11 players can only participate in 38 matches.
Ah yes but the weeks were ze german gets screwed he can then make up on his "bonus" weeks so 4 weeks he's screwed 4 weeks he's super man. The league idea could work but when you are at the bottom of the league people soon lose interest.... not that I'd know anything about that of course....
No point in a bench, if you lose someone you just replace them with a player who is the same. I was thinking of doing a youth team though but I didn't want to overload you guys, was maybe going to bring it in next season. The idea being we do a youth draft like the MLB again. Same principle as the first draft for players only you can name any player u21 to put in your youth team which consists of 11 players. Just a thought.
but with no bench we won't be able to take any fun/risky picks, or if someone is struggling you can't plug them on the bench. This league seems like more luck than anything. A good fantasy owner makes changes throughout the season, the draft is only half the battle
You can make changes. You don't lose the player if he is injured, he just goes on the DL and you replace him. If he is a homegrown player he has to be replaced by a homegrown player. If you lot really want benchs then we will have them. As long as it is for the good of the league and the majority want it then I'm all for it. I can't see any reason for no bench so, this is your game, you want a bench? Call me the wood fairy.
