I can't remember clearly (before FIFA decided that a win results in three points, a draw one point and a lose zero points) what used to be the scoring system. However, I think it is time FIFA changes the rules of the game. For instance: A win with a difference equal to or higher than three: 4 POINTS A win with a difference of two and below: 3 POINTS A draw with goals: 2 POINTS A goaless draw: 1 POINT A loss: 0 POINT Because most fans go to football games to see goals as one of their highest priorities, I think FIFA would do well to encourage teams to score more goals by awarding more points, even if the game is tied.
