I was a little skeptical when they called it "The game that will make you want to throw away Halo" and "The Halo Killer" and "The Highest Rated Video Game Of All Time". Well let me tell you. I picked it up today, and for the most part, it is all true. If you havent already, go pick youself up a copy. You will see what I am talking about.

Yeah, I'm hopefully going to get it soon. Man, these fourth quarter releases are seriously putting a dent in my bank account. First Splinter Cell, now Call of Duty 3 and Gears of War, and soon Rainbow Six Vegas will be out.
This is definitely the best video game I have ever played. Playing online is intense. The campaign with co-op is extremely intense. Im not gonna lie, im 23 years old and I get scared sh#tless whenever someone comes up behind me and chainsaw's me in half. This game really brings you inside the game. Its almost like im not on my couch playing, but im really in the T.V. kickin some ass. Even to the point where when Im done playing, I still have it on my mind. I just have a big cluster of images of me sniping people, chainsawing them, getting into intense close-range shotgun fights, etc. Its like a big commercial in my head.And yes, it is hard at first. But its unlike any other game. You just have to get used to it. Ive beaten hardcore and I am currently working on "intense" difficulty.

Yeah Gears is sick... But its not a halo killer yet... Gotta wait till halo3 comes out to see.. But it is better then halo 2.. By alot.

If you have an Xbox 360 you can beta test the Halo 3 multiplayer starting in March of 2007 (I believe that is the date)... that should be enough to keep Halo fans busy until the actual game is released.

I can't really explain it all that much because I'm not 100% sure as to what it is, but I know it isn't the same thing as the Halo 3 beta testing they will be doing in early-to-mid 2007. The commercial's song was stuck in my head forever. So I thought about getting it when I get an X-Box 360 later (most likely going to be a while). After I have read this and the thread, this will be the first game I get.
