Who else here is eagerly anticipating the arrival of GTAIV? GTA is my favourite game series, I've played every single one, and finished them all, it's one of the main reasons why I want a PS3. Well the first Official Trailer is being released next Friday (the 29th of March), you can keep an eye out for it at http://www.rockstargames.com/IV/
I heard it's going to take place in an Asian city, like Tokyo or Beijing or something. It should be pretty crazy. I remember when GTA3 came out and it was such an amazing improvement from the 2nd one. They should be able to do some awesome things with the new consoles.
I read that it could be possibly set in New York in the 1980's, that would be pretty sweet I reckon. Just so long as it isnt set in England. 9 days until we find out I guess, I cant wait
Just a thought NTC, it's also being released on the Xbox360. So, as long as you have one of those, you can still get it without investing (or wasting) your $600+ on a PS3.

Me too but with DMC4, possibly MG4 and FF13 going to 360 I might just change. Plus I think GTA is the most over-rated series of gaming going around - well next to Halo.
I think GTA is rather boring, I haven't been too thrilled playing that series since the third one on PC. I'm still looking to play the new one though, just in case they plan on doing something really different this time around. If it is anything to extent of the old ones in terms of gameplay and missions then I'll pass.
<div class="quote_poster">NTC187 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Yeah, problem is, I'm a bit of a Playstation fanboy </div>Right there with ya. I love Sony, but the PS3 is too much at the moment. The only thing that really makes it worth it is the built in Blu-Ray player, outside of that, I'd rather spend my $400 on a 360 or blow $250 on a Wii. They both have better games and are a little better on the pocketbook.
I hope it comes out on PC... I still play GTA SA, but I'm stuck on a damn airplane mission - just can't controll a plane with a keyboard.

I assure you perfect PlayStation-like controls and top quality. Not a bad price for it either.

<div class="quote_poster">Apollo Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Isn`t this GTA on 360 too?</div> Yeah but on the previous console generation the GTA games came out at least half a year earlier than the XBox and PC versions. GTA IV's being released on the same day for both the 360 and PS3 though.
Still haven't beaten Vice City yet. I'm at the racing mission. No matter what I do, I can never beat the guy in the race. I'm happy to say I've pretty much given up on that game after 50+ unsuccessful tries

I beat Vice City a long time ago. The hardest mission is the one where you have to rob the bank. So many parts to it and there's so many police. The racing mission is sort of tough, because his car is way better than yours. The key is to keep bumping him from the back until he spins out of control.

What you need to do is this, at the start of the race, drive into the side of his car, towards the back, to try and make him spin out, I think it works best like around the Police Station just a bit furthur down the road, then all you have to do is maintain the lead, and you should beat him comfortably That bank mission was easy too, I passed it first shot.
Hm, thanks for the advice guys. Everytime I do the mission, my car always ends up getting destroyed. I guess I'm not a good driver because I can't control the car very well when it's on high speed. Plus, if I go any slower, I'd fall behind like crazy. There was this one time when I got lucky, my opponent ended up getting stuck in some sort of traffic, so I was up by a pretty high margin, but then, like always, I destroy my car.... I'll probably try it out again sometime today.
