Re: Guess who's backkkkk 1 Year - $28 Million for a 40+ Year old pitcher. I don't know why I'm stuck on playing basketball when baseball is where the money is.

Andy Pettite and Chien-Ming Wang suck, along with Mike Mussina.</div>Wang is a good pitcher, but he should not be a #1 starter in the AL atleast.. Last year he had a 3.63 ERA, and he was 19-6...He definately doesn't suck...Mike Mussina is also a good pitcher. If Roger does really well, and Phil Hughes comes back, then the Yankees won't be that terrible pitching wise. They were just terrible to begin the year cause Wang was injured, they didn't have Roger, and Phil Hughes didn't make his starts yet either...
Re: Guess who's backkkkk Cubs are on fire right now. Who cares about Rocket? Psh. Though Soriano is a major letdown STILL.

It's been like a month at least, and that contract is pretty damn big, he basically bought us the right to expect a lot.

Re: Guess who's backkkkk He goes 0-4, 1-5 and gets 2 Ks, that's what. That's bad for a batter in general.

Look are ERA and opponet AVG, walks, and strikeouts. The bullpen and Rivera blew a few so far this year.

He might not have pitched for the first quarter of the season the past two years, but that is no different than these guys that get hurt every year and miss seven starts.Clemens still has one of the best ERA's in baseball every year. He still has alot of strikeouts throughtout the season. His fastball still has good velocity on it, he locates his pitches well still, his breaking balls have decent movment. He is a good pitcher still, and still one of the best in the big leagues if you ask me, after all of this time. It was awesome for the Yankee's to get him, with all of the pitching rotation problems they have been having. I still don't see them overtaking the Red-Sox this year though, I really think it's their year.</div>I dont think a 7-6 record at 44 warrants a $4 million dollar contract a year.

Do you know anything about baseball? He's making 4.5 million a MONTH first of all, and he pitched amazingly last year, his record was just bad because the astro offense sucks and couldn't get him wins so he had a lot of 2-1, 1-0 losses.
