What is football coming to when the hammers are paying someone like lucas neill 60 grand a week he is nothing but a kicker,he is not gona save their bacon, just there for the money i bet he cant believe his luck.he is so confident of keeping them up that he has got a get-out clause in his contract if they go down now that is commitment for you.

I don't know about other Hammers fans but the contract sounds good to me. If he leaves if we get relegated we won't have to pay his high wages in the champ. At the moment commitment is not important at west ham in the long term. survival is. I don't know how good he is but we could do with competition for spaces at the back to encourage players.

So you know the agreement do you? Or is it just joining in on what the papers say? Don't take that the wrong way but, if you were in a dream job earning 20k a year, and someone came along and offered 40k for doing the same job would you turn it down on principle? (I think not).

If L.N. is earning that amount then yeah okay you got a case? But West Ham have got to be looking at survival, not the wage count, that only comes into play if they get relegated surely.

Don't get me wrong i do see your point, and I can see what effect this type of deal is having on THERE game. But the fact is at the moment it is more a case of needs must rather than lets throw it in the fryer and see what happens? If west ham were not confident this was going to pay off then perhaps they wouldn't have gone to such extremes.

But like I say.. you, me and the bloke on the corner don't know the details so let the press take care of that for us and lets just enjoy watching the invigorated team get back to what they do best. If we were experts we would be getting a wage from West Ham, not sitting here typing our opinion!

L.N is an awesome player and had a good world cup. He played that well that Barca and Liverpool were interested in him. So you hammer freakz better not take him for granted. He might very well save ur damn bacon.
