    OK, my math teacher gave us a take home test and I have to get an A on it, but I am having some problems, well that and I am not sure if the answers I do have are right.

    3 - Find the slope of the line through (-6, 3) and (23, -2)

    I have -5/29

    4- Determine whether each pair of lines is parallel, perpendicular, or neither.

    x + 4y = 8 and 4x + y = 8

    I put down neither because I put them into my graphing calculator and they didn't really look perpendicular. The two lines looked more like a giant X.

    OK, here are the ones I am really having a problem with.

    Write the equation of the line in slope intercept form

    5- Though (12, 3); m= -4

    6- Though (-9, 3), parallel to 2x - 5y = 35

    7. Though (2, -7) and (-3, 1)

    For 5 I have y = -4x + 45

    For 6 I have y = 4/9x + 7

    For 7 I have y = 8/5x + 61/5

    9 - Which of the following does not define y as a function of x?

    A- 3x - 2y = 9
    C- {(2,3),(3,2),(2,-3)}
    D- Several x y intercepts in t-chart form (0,1)(1,2)(2,3)(4,5)

    Yes, there isn't a B answer

    I don't even know where to start, we haven't really covered functions yet so I don't know how to determine them, even so I think the answer is C. Gut feeling I guess.

    10- For f(x) = -3x^2 + 5x - 6 find a if f(-2)

    I just plugged -2 in for every X and came out with an answer of -4

    I am not sure if I can even describe number 8 online. It's a graph to represent data. x = 9 = 1999, x = 13 = 2003
    y = 3.97 = total sales (in millions) for 1999 and y = 16.4 = total sales for 2003. They want it written in slope-intercept form.

    I came up with an insane number which cannot possibly be right.

    y = 9.1075x - 3.336775

    Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

    I'm sorry, the one thing I was bad at in math the most was graphing :(

    I can't. I'm sure somebody will help, but it looks like you just typed the whole damn worksheet on here.

    Graphing calculator could solve all of this easy.

    For 10 I got -28...

    For 9 I got C, but I could be very wrong, as I just woke up..

    For 7, m should be -(8/5) cause the top row is 1- (-7), double negative = positive therefore 1 + 7 = 8. Denominator is negative though, so the whole thing should be negative.

    Okay,

    First Function should be:

    y = (8-x)/4

    Second Function should be:

    y = 8-4x

    Graph both and then see what you get.
