Yes. He can be. Just like any of us. There are certain things about his personality and decisions I don't particularly appreciate. But, overall I feel he's the right person for the job, he's great with the kids and the 'perfect' person doesn't exist. If I take the good with the bad, there's a lot more good with Chip. Canzano is such a weird guy. No one claimed the program, a game, or even roster decisions were remotely close to monumental - like war, as he referenced. Where does he get this stuff? How is it even related to Chip's decision to announce lineups? In the end, Chip doesn't answer to Canzano. Can is insignificant to the staff, program and fans so really, these kinds of articles really only end in more distance between 'us' and Canzano.
Chip might be a dick, but his job is to win football games... not to make writers happy. If he gets a slight edge by delaying an announcement, I hope he delays that announcement. I'm sorry for the sportswriters who are inconvenienced by that. Ed O.
Canzano is definitely a dick. Guess what I think of those who link his BS? By doing that a poster is helping ensure that this is the sort of coverage we'll continue to suffer through with all our sports. The local reporters in general have been lazy & irresponsible in their coverage of the Ducks so they've had their access cut way back. They cry a river every day, but they made their bed. I think it's great that Chip grants more access to their competitors. STOMP
Like the chick in your avatar did. I like Chip. He's just an east coast guy the west coast people don't get. But he saved LaGarrett Blount and I love him for it. I don't think people get how good a person he is.
