After an epic showdown between Junoon and Chutney, the majority has chose Junoon as the winner. The voting came down to the wire, but in the end, Junoon took it by a thin margin of 7-6. I would like to start off by saying thank you to all that participated in the battles. Although it was confusing at times, it was a great success. I never would have imagined for it to turn out the way it did. Junoon wins the first ever JBB MC Contest, but there will be many more in the future, and I'm sure many more MCs will be crowned. Congrats Junoon. You got some serious skill and, to be honest, I wasn't sure I'd stand much of a chance coming into the battle. I'm just glad I was able to make it such a close final. Enjoy the win dude, because you got a target on your back come next tournament.
Thanks for all of the comments guys. First and foremost, CHUTNEY, I have a hell lot of respect for you, and like I said in the discussion thread, portions of your verses really through me off guard at times (especially your 12 step process verse, wasn't expecting that). I'm glad the voting reflected how tough the battle really was, like you said, and I'm looking forward to hopefully facing you again sometime in the next tournament and battling in another classic. And as for the target on my back...Bring it onnn But seriously, good job in runnin this whole thing Brian and can't wait for the next one to start. I think alot more people will be interested the 2nd time around and it'll be even more fun.
Junoon, you're lucky I ran out of juice man. If my ideas were flowing you would've been a dead man. For real though, congrats. Canadians doing themselves proud! If I'm not wrong, all Canucks made it out of the first round!
