If you do indeed become a very rich club indeed after christmas, I think you need to keep hold of these players

    Key players

    Reina
    Carragher
    Riise
    Gerrard
    Alonso
    Kuyt

    Squad players

    Garcia
    Gonzales
    Kewell
    Crouch
    Bellamy

    Get rid of

    Zenden
    Warnock
    Finnan
    Hypia
    Fowler

The rest are redundant unless ive forgotten someone obvious, I think you have a good spine to your team which can be built up.

That's fair enough but you've missed a crucial guy in Sissoko. His a key player and even if you don't agree with that he should at least be mentioned as a squad player. I'd also include Agger as he's going to be an outstanding defender.

    I would keep the following

    Reina
    Carson
    Carragher
    Agger
    Riise
Warnock (very good back up player)
    Sissoko
    Alonso
    Gerrard
    Kuyt

The players who I would keep for the squad players are

    Finnan
    Bellamy
    Crouch
    Garcia

    Get rid of
    Zenden
    Pennant
Hyypia, Fowler (maybe give a coaching role to these two)
    Aurelio
    Gonzalez
    Kewell
    Pauletta
    Dudek

That would leave us with about 13 players. Therefore Six new signings and promote a couple of the youngsters ie Anderson, Peltier

New signings I would hope for are Joaquim for the right wing slot, alves for right back. A new left winger, maybe try robben if he is unhappy at chelsea. Another striker, dean ashton if he can stay fit and I wouldnt mind somebody like Joey Barton or kevin Nolan as midfield cover. Richards as a long term partner for agger at the back would be a great signing, but it all depends on the money benitez is given to spend.

This lot sounds realistic enough, i doubt if chelsea would want to sell robben to another title contender though.

And couldnt you afford a brazilian attacking superstar to make alves feel comfortable? kaka?

I'd give kewell another season, last year he was really getting up to form but unlucky with that injury. I also love the idea of signing Richard, also want to sign Barnes and Bale! [IMG]

If Joey Barton ever plays for Liverpool i'll be very surprised, his got totally the wrong mentality for the club and while Rafa has taken on 'last chance' players in Bellamy and Pennant, I dont ever see us signing him.

Infact I'd love to have him at Chelsea but thats not going to happen. [IMG]

Would be good to see playing for England though.
