So, just to make sure..... he didn't play last weekend because of an ankle injury? NOT because he's our 4th string RB and was overhyped?
Firstly, dude is a freshman. He needs to learn the system. Secondly, Seastrunk was like 4th string and now that dude is a Heisman candidate for Baylor, so I wouldn't discount someone being 4th string.
From what I've read...practice reports, Oregon Live...we should see Tyner this weekend. How big of a role? Total guessing game. What do you guys expect out of Tyner?
Not much this season. He has DAT and Marshall ahead of him. He might get some touches in the second half when the starters are out. Are you at all surprised that DAT is playing as the every-down back?
They said he's not, they just kept calling his number play after play because the defense wasn't doing much to stop him. Again, you're reading a lot into one game against a very crappy team.
Sly, there were only like two games last year where we weren't blowing a team out by halftime..... so every team is a crappy team. At what point do we start taking the actions of the coaching staff seriously? Two games a year when they have to try?
DAT, Marshall... who is 3rd string ahead of him? Given health, I expect he'll get at least as many opportunities as Marshall did last season. The tape that convinced me was seeing him humble Michael Hutchings in drills at the Army AA Game. He's a different level of athlete. Can't wait STOMP
