Premierleague.com's fantasy premier league is a good yardstick for measuring a football enthusiast's Premiership knowledge and intelligence. And, because close to a million fantasy footballers support specific premiership clubs, there is enough data to compare the knowledge of supporters of different clubs.
The top five supporters are (the number is the average score):

    Tottenham 645.5
    Everton 630.5
    Aston Villa 623.9
    Man. City 622.5
    Blackburn 616.9

The difference between 1st and 2nd place is so significant, that no statistical anomaly could explain it. Therefore, Spurs simply have the most knowledgeable and intelligent supporters.
It is interesting to note that clubs such as ManU (15th), Arsenal (17th) and Chelsea (18th) have supporters who have so little knowledge of the game.

I'd put it down to luck more than anything else because the big teams will obviously have more people registered which would also give them a higher chance of having poor results as well as good.

ie. Spurs have 2 supporters registered who have 650 & 640 respectively giving an average of 645 whereas Man U have 10 registered with 7 on 700 & 3 on 350 giving them an average of 595!!

    It ain't rocket science!

You could look at it the other way. Maybe the more intelligent fans, can't be bothered to actually take part in fantasy leagues as they find them puerile? Which could make Spurs fans the most puerile! [IMG]
