Okay, I've been watching a lot of Rifftrax lately. For those of you that don't know what Rifftrax is, it's basically these guys that do a commentary on movies. You can go to their website at rifftrax.com and download an mp3 for whichever movie you like. Of course, if you prefer, there are files you can download using torrents that include the audio synced up with the video. Basically, the whole idea of the thing is that they take movies and point out funny things, make fun of the actors, or whatever. It's just a hilarious new way of enjoying movies that are either classic or painful to watch. They typically do either really bad movies (such as Glitter and Battlefield Earth) or like I said, classic type movies (The Matrix, LotR). It's really clever comedy, and obviously my style. All of this started from a series called Mystery Science Theater 3000, or MST3k. They would take ridiculous B-movies and comment on them, and every once in a while during the show, it would take a break for the characters of the show to do skits and so forth. It's really hard to explain unless you see it, obviously. The reason that they were able to make all these movies into shows was because all of the movies they used either had no copyright on them anymore or the rights to use them could be bought cheaply. Now, with Rifftrax, they obviously cannot include movies like The Matrix or Star Wars: Episode I without getting sued into non-existance, so they instead merely provide the sound track, and you provide the movie (unless you download it from a torrent, which usually includes both). Make sense? If you decide to download them legally, it's most likely not gonna cost you too much... $13 maybe (10 for the dvd, 3 for the Rifftrax).Anyway, I've been watching a lot of these lately. So far on Rifftrax, I've watched Star Trek V, Star Trek VI, Star Wars: Episode I and Episode II, LotR: Fellowship of the Ring, Firewall, Battlefield Earth, Over the Top, ?on Flux, The Wicker Man, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Eragon, Glitter, and Fantastic Four. They also had Rifftrax for a couple episodes of Grey's Anatomy. I watched them, but it was pretty hard to finish.Has anyone watched any of this stuff? I find it very entertaining.
MsT3K was brilliant back when they had Joel Hogson. I didn't fancy Mike Nelson that much, though it was still somewhat entertaining. I'll be sure to check rifftrax out.

Kevin Murphy is the other one that is usually in it. Sometimes there's some other random people, like Doogie Howser. Anyway, I'd say Firewall, Episode II, and Fantastic Four are pretty funny if you need a place to start out.
