Ok, so my friend and I are seriously entertaining an idea here in school, but we're looking for some clearifications.

We go to a well-known college and we were thinking of doing a School Calender, like a customized Sheridan College calender with girls on it. THIS IS NOT A SWIMSUIT CALENDER. We're just looking to put beautifull women on the calender months pages. Like have them dressed up according to each month and season.

Ofcourse, we're going to need a sponsor. The photography, makeup, and hopefully the design will be taken care of by some other students (well, it's propably gonna be voluntarly), but sponsoring it is the big thing.

Noone buys calenders. We were thinking of charging every student a 1$ per calender and the proceedings go to a certain charity, but how do we make money? and at least how do we break even?!

How can we find a sponsor? Will there be people willing to sponsor this? My school population is about 5000 people (not sure)!

Will the cosmetic/photgraphy student be willing to help us? They will get credit at the end, but will they need a cut?

How do we (me and my friend) make money?

    Thanks in advance.

If you find a printing company, and tell them you want them to do this for free, and in return let them print ads for their own company in/on the calendar, they will probably be interested, since they will potentially reaching out to thousands of people. It's the same for the photographer and all else; if they get their name out with the product they will probably be interested.

As for making money, you will need to calculate all your expenses, and calculate the amount you think you will sell (don't be too optimistic here). Then take the total sum of your expenses, and divide that with the number of calendars you think you will sell. This will give you the price you need to break even. So, obviously, if you want to make money, you will need a higher price than that.

I also think it would be a good idea to make a survey in your school to see how many people are actually interested in buying a calendar. This is really important, because you never know what other people think until you ask them.

I'm not sure how to help you with your problem, but hopefully that goes well. I like the idea of it, I think that'd go pretty well with a college.

    norespect JBB gotta nuke something...

I'm not sure you'd be allowed to use the colleges' name in the calender. They might not agree or they might demand some of the procedes.
I can't imagine a girl being so beautiful as to make me buy a calander when she is full clothed.

    Good luck!
