The PS3 never freezes, while my 360 froze a lot. I had my 360 set up in my room in my little entertainment system, so obviously nothing blocking the vents, still froze playing Madden, NHL, and a couple other games. My PS3 has never froze playing Madden, NBA 2k7, NBA 07, NHL 2k7, FN Rd3, or any other games I've used on it.
Playstation 3 isn't worth all the money. Half the time, the buyers don't even want the Blu-Ray DVD Player inside the PS3, but they're forced to buy it anyways. With the PS3, Sony's trying to beat the console market and the DVD player market. It forces the people that want to buy a Blu-Ray DVD Player to buy a PS3 because a regular Blu-Ray Player costs around the same amount of money as a PS3.

It's a brilliant strategy on the part of Sony, as they are flooding the market with their product (Blu-Ray players) to help win the much bigger next generation DVD player market, and if they take a bit of a hit with the PS3 in the process so be it, because they will be making a net profit, which is their goal. Yeah, they sold out.
Exactly. They're beating the console war because they have two kinds of customers. Console customers and DVD Blu-Ray customers. But the regular Joes don't have enough money to buy that kind of stuff. That's why the PS3 is so damn expensive.
They're making the most money, but they still haven't won the console war nor the DVD war. So far, it's not exactly effective. It doesn't suck for Microsoft, they're ahead of the console war, and don't say they had a head start because Nintendo and Sony haven't been selling as many new-gen consoles than Microsoft was at this point after their XBox 360 release date.Besides, why would you buy an expensive PS3? There's barely any decent release games. And if you're going to say to play Madden, you can always buy an Xbox 360 to do that. The graphics won't be that big of a difference. Heck, you can even play Madden on Wii. Except the graphics are current gen, and the controls suck.

I'd say those 3.25 million more copies are going to go a long way when it comes to the war between the HD-DVD and the Blu-Ray player. The sad part is the HD-DVD player is partially owned by Microsoft so they could have done the same exact thing and so far have only lately added an HD-DVD player as an accessory as a way to copy the PS3, but their 100,000 Units sold doesn't begin to compare with the 3.25 million Blu-Rays.As for the PS3, the games will come with time. The Xbox 360 didn't have any decent games when it first came out either, and once the PS3 has their exclusive games come out, and the price hopefully drops some as the cost of the technology drops, they will sell more copies then they are now. And as for controls...there is no doubt that the PS3 has the best controller. It's been so perfectly designed that they haven't had to change the overall design since the original Playstation came out. The 360 controllers are bulky and unconfterable. Overall this might be a moot point though, as in recent weeks though, Nintendo's Wii has been outselling both the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 COMBINED. I guess people want a cheap fun system.
Wii's aren't bad. I just think that most of their games get old. Fast. I can see myself playing Wii Sports for a whole month straight, but then I see myself putting down the Wii controller because of how gay most of the games are. I can't even play Madden 07 on Wii without looking like a total ass.
