A blown refs call on a critical third down play resulted in a TCU TD and they lost the game over it. I mean, they lost the Rose Bowl over it.

May this not happen to Oregon.

Not a chance. Pretty sweet win by TCU.

So whatever team looses the Natty is now guaranteed to finished lower than 2nd in the final rankings.

Yeah, but who really cares at that point? You just lost the NC... ranking really isn't much of a consolation.

I just don't think TCU is the 2nd best team in the country which is where I think they'll end up in the final rankings.

You're probably right, but they did beat Wisconsin.

better yet.. if the Ducks lose, and Stanford wins.. the Ducks will probably be behind Stanford who they beat, and (would) have the same record as.

I agree about TCU. If not for the bad call, they lose to Wisconsin. Aside from that, place them in a BCS conference and they lose 3-4 games. Maybe 2 if it's a weak conference.

Oh no doubt, but I'm just saying that the final rankings won't mean much... at least not to me. They either win the whole thing or they don't. The ranking doesn't matter.
