Premiership goalkeepers

The current England No. 1 goalkeeper had a bit of a stinker yesterday. Also, from some of the comments I've read it seems his form has certainly dropped this season compared to last. This together with the ongoing discussion about the number of non-UK players in the Premiership got me to wonder where Robinson, or the other English goalkeepers currently in the Prem, stack up against their non-English counterparts.

Here's a list of all the goalkeepers currently in the Premiership (my apologies if I've missed any). First are the No. 1's, second and third are the the No. 1 backups.

I've also added another table broken down into goalkeeepers per country (No. 1 and backups).

So, where would you place Robinson amongst this lot? In the top 6? Top 10? What about the other English keepers?

I originally put these in formatted tables. Unfortunately, the formatting was lost when I copied and pasted over to the DYC thread creation page.

England 6 8 9 refers to the 6 goalkeepers who are currently no. 1 for their clubs, and the 8 who are no. 2, and the 9 who are no.3. I'm going by the clubs' listing for these players.

 

epl goalkeepers are as overated as many other aspects of that greedy, bloated, uncompetitive league.

 

He had a bad World Cup and has had been bad ever since. Dunno what has happend to him. For the friendly against Spain I would start Foster, as for me he is the current FORM English goalkeeper, just like the current FORM English centre backs are Campbell and........ oh dear. Yet another bad result for us I think.

 

i dont rate robinson at all anymore....
