How can people say that fowler is a fourth striker? If anything hes got more passion for Liverpool that 98% of the team! And we cant say that his ability isnt good! I dont understand why he doesnt get played more! Anyone have any view? Fowler to play vs. Arsenal, and i can guarentee he will be on the score sheet!
Personally I reckon Fowler was bought for a publicity stunt, to surprise people. I think you can do with a better striker though, Klass Jan Huntelaar, Fernando Torres, David Villa or a cheaper bargain David Trezeguet or to make things more cheaper bring back Florent Sinama Pongolle. lol
He is still probably one of the most gifted finishers in the world, but his fitness lets him down! His fitness would only be improved with an increase in competitive football. He has been literally out of the game since he left Pool the first time around. He didn't feature often for Leeds or Man City, leaving his fitness in a very bleak state! I can see him only making a surge into the squad if crouch and kuyt both get injured, where he will become an integral part of the strikeforce!!! Always a danger.
His finishing is excellent, he is still a class striker. But you've got to remember that he's getting on a bit, so he won't be as ft as he used to be. But he can still put them away ...
One things for sure, before Fowlers major injury, he was no doubt the best natural english striker of his time.
