The Ottawa Senators have hired Detroit Red Wings assistant Paul MacLean as their new coach, sources told ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun. The Senators planned a news conference for 11 a.m. ET on Tuesday, at which it was expected the hiring would be announced.
