With his lightening quick feet and growing maturity, there is no doubt that Cristiano Ronaldo is developing into a fabulous footballer.

This season he is showing that he is not just all about fancy flicks and elaborate step-overs, but now he has an end product to all his magical footwork.

All of this produced after the death of his father and his ridiculed actions in the World Cup, which caused an outrage all over the world.

I feel it was somewhat blown out of proportion but there is no doubt he has handled the situation immaculately, as has Sir Alex Ferguson. All great footballers show that they can come back from adversity and Ronaldo's transformation is somewhat ala Beckhamesk (post-1998).

However, sometimes I do feel that Ronaldo is playing for a place in the Real Madrid team rather then in Manchester United's. He is so eager to impress the ?Los Golactico?s?, maybe that is why he is playing and training so hard?

At times I think there is a certain arrogance and selfishness in his play which gives the impression that he belongs elsewhere. Many former United players showing similar traits have been shown the door before, Beckham and Rudd but to name a few. Although they were, and still are great ?football talents?, there is no one better then Sir Alex to weed out the ones who think they are bigger then Manchester United.

He has mentioned numerous times that he would like to play in Spain and I believe that there is no doubt that he will end up there eventually. I do hope I am wrong in my views of his character as he is a great advert for attacking football at Manchester United.

Nevertheless if he does want to leave, he should leave as soon as possible so Manchester United can replace him with someone with a smaller head? Or will Sir Alex bide his time and wait for the opportune time (maybe a few years down the line) to let him go as he is the best at knowing when to let big players go. Who will make the first move?

I hope he doesnt go and i dont think he will, he is a fantastic player to watch even though i boo him when he comes to Ewood Park, but every fantastic player gets booed. He is a great asset for the Premiership and i hope he stays.
