So I watched it last night at home on DVD, in perfect quality....shhhhhhhh Id tell you but then Id have to kill you. I barely watch any movies. Dark Knight was the only other new movie I saw this year. Slumdog was good. Above average...but Academy Award??? Must have been a slow movie year
Old thread, but just watched it. Great movie. It seemed almost unbelievable but why shouldn't it? Why make a movie about some boring regular stuff? This movie could have happened. I mean, yeah Latika just happened to grow up to be like the hottest Indian chick ever, so hot that even a scar looks good on her. ANYHOOOOO... Poverty porn? Fuck those poor bastards. You don't have to be rich to clean up your mess do you? If you live in a slum like that, you need to find a way to get condoms or birth control. You have no business having a child and making them live in that hell. It is their own fault and I didn't enjoy seeing that part of the movie, it made me sick. CLEAN UP YOUR SHIT. You don't have to be educated to know that you are living in filth.
