Not a sig, I just though I'd mess around with this Pop Art tutorial. I love the finished result.

Yeah, it's pretty tedious though, because I have to hand paint all that shit.

I have seen Bud Gaugh play bass for 311, and I've met Eric, but sadly, I never got to see Sublime play. I have every single album by them, including some of Brad's solo work, and I recently got "Everything Under the Sun". My favorite band of all time.

I have a few songs by the Long Beach Dub All-Stars, but I feel that Bud and Eric lost their vibe after Bradley's death. I did have a chance to go to a LBDAS concert, but it was in the early 2000's, and I had no idea who they, or Sublime were at the time. Also, I don't really like the lead singer's voice (not sure of his name).

I wish I could of seen Sublime, Marley, and Hendrix play, but that can never happen! So, I listen to as much of their shit as possible! :)

Groovy man. I wouldn't mind seeing the text spiced up. Maybe switch the font color to a bright yellow, and add a hard drop shadow of dark purple?

Yeah, I nice man. I'm looking to get some sort of Sublime tattoo.

Jigga, I will attempt what you said, but what is a "hard drop shadow"?

Like, create a shadow (photoshop does it automatically for you), but don't make it...uh, soft? Like make the shadow a distinct object rather than create a general color change behind it.

I think it was pretty solid Main Event.

Nice job Main Event. Sublime is probably my favorite band after 311 and Arctic Monkeys. I don't know if this is asking to much, but could you resize this to use it as a desk top wallpaper?

    Thanks.

Yeah, I'll do it tomorrow. I wouldn't mind this as my background either.

They're my favorite band too. I listened to Everything Under the Sun non-stop for about a year, really awesome.

I'd also definitely be interested in that background.

Alright, cool, I'll try and get that done sometime today. It's hard to get Sublime groups pics for a few reasons.

    1. They were only around for about 10 years.
    2. It was the 90's, so the quality sucks, and you need high quality pics for this pop art shit.
    3. Most of their pics are black and white, which won't work for obvious reasons.

If anyone can find some pics they want me to do, be sure to post them. You have to give me your colour choices though.

Wow looks amazing. I looked at a GIMP Pop-art tutorial and when it said you have to paint everything individually i gave up. Props though ME it looks absolutely amazing.

BTW is the dotting on the picture the Newsprint Filter?

Yep, it's pretty easy, but the painting is tedious. I want to do a Hendrix one soon.
