There has been some talk of late that Mo is considering using the DP space for a Canadian.

Nothing would make me happier then having more and better CanCon on TFC (much love for Sutton though) but I'm not sure about pulling one of our better guys out of a top Euro league to come play MLS (if they would even come).

    What do you guys think?
Is it better to keep the Guzman's, Gerber, Edgar's, Stalteri's, Hutchinson's in the top Euro leagues or would their be a benefit to bringing them home?

I am not sure its worth it to Toronto unless the player is a major game changer as an attacking player or defensive mid. Toronto doesn't really need ticket sales help, which is one of the major reasons for bringing in a DP. If it is going to be a huge game changer, then bring them in, otherwise, go without.

I see what you're saying and it's true, TFC aren't going anywhere quick and don't need to sell tickets so there's really no point for the team.

I'm wondering if it's better, from a national team perspective, to have our top guys playing in Europe, rather than in the MLS.

    Yes.

But since all of Canada's fading stars are currently in the MLS, the question was could and should we pull one of our "kids" from Europe.

I'd love if we could pick up de Guzman. Though I know and follow soccer little, I like Julian as a player.
