Anyone here watch it? I used to a big fan of it before...I haven't gotten the chance to watch any of the newer ones as much but thanks to YouTube I can catch some of the new ones as well, and have acess to all the classic ones from before. Well, the show seems kind of less funnier then it used to be I guess, but it's still funny nonethless.

Almost all of the episodes devoted to George Bush and his press conferences are quite funny, so I'd list them all in my favourite segments.

Also funny is the one where Donald Rumsfeld keeps using the term "henny penny"

From the older shows, my favourite would have to be the one where Dick Chaney shoots his 78-year-old friend in the face and Rob Corodoroy follows with making comments like "We're live at the hospital...where DICK CHANEY HAS SHOT A 78 YEAR OLD MAN IN THE FACE....mistaking him for a bird." Yeah, I love it. The new episodes are great, but they don't compare to the older ones when Steve Carell and Steven Colbert were on the show. It's actually funny that you brought it up, because I was just watching a ton of old clips the other night on Youtube.

I love this show. I was debating between putting up a Jon Stewart avatar or a Steven Colbert avatar a couple monthes ago and I picked Colbert but both are so funny.

I watch them during the week since they're on back to back. I love Jon Stewart's facial expressions and reactions to what people say. He is a great comedian and I love his show.

Yeah, Carell and Colbert were geniuses on that show, The Colbert Report is funnier, in my honest opinion, but the Daily Show is amazing as well.

I loved when Carell and Colbert were doing the "Jeopardy!" noises, and then the Prince Charles Scandal one. More recently when Jon checks in with Steven and he's talking in typos. Hilarious.

And the whole "Peppered" incident. . a 78 year old man has been seasoned by the Vice President!

I love the show as well and I'm really sad to see Rob Corddry go, he was probably my favorite correspondant (or whatever they're called) ever on the show. Hopefully Corddry can go the way of Carrell and hit it big because I'd hate for his career to fizzle out and never see him again. I really didn't like Colbert when he was on the Daily Show but the Colbert Report is hilarious and funnier than the Daily Show now IMO.

I used to watch it back when Colbert and Carell were on there... Rob Corddry left too?? That's too bad, he's a funny guy. I'll watch the Colbert Report every now and then.

    lol @ peppered.

"Peppered is something you do to a ceaser salad!!"

Also funny was the one where Colbert reports about a guy in Sierra college who said the girls in Sierra "weren't that hot".

Just a question, do the people getting interviewed know that Stephen Colbert and any other correspondent is just messing around with them and are not a real news anchor or are all the interviewees tricked?

Cause I remember in a report investigating brand-name drug selling, a girl who was a former Miss Florida was one of the people being interviewed and the guy kept blatantly hitting on her and stuff, and although it was funny, I'm surprised she didn't say anything if the portion is indeed real. Ditto for everyone else that's interviewed.

I remember watching the Conan O'Brien Show, where Colbert was a guest (and not being sarcastic), and he said most of the time his guests are told beforehand that he's being sarcastic (somebody must've forgotten to tell the organizers of the White House Correspondant's Dinner). Colbert did mention that one time he was interviewing a governor or something that was openly gay, and who wasn't told of his sarcasm. He started off the interview by congratulating him for coming out of the closet and admitting he was left handed. And then he continued to make sarcastic parallells between being gay and left handed, while the interviewee was getting upset.

A few good ones that come to mind are the "Coot-Off," the skit where they interview these Southern college boys about the Dukes of Hazzard, and any of the Steven vs. Stephen skits.

Junoon, I am pretty sure they are well aware of it. I remember the Florida Representative dude that said he loved cocaine on it, becuase he was running alone. . and no matter what he said he'd get it. Actually, I'll Youtube that.

    Hilarious!

Go to the end for the real funny part!

And for everyone's enjoyment, this had me on the floor laughing, Colbert making fun of the news:

    Colbert is brilliant.

I like the Daily Show much better. Stephen is fun, but at times he's too much for me. I'm a loyal Stewart fan, I gotta stick by the man. Sure, the show has gone downhill a bit, but what it's lacking for in humor it's getting in good dialogue in interviews and good satire aside from just pure out jokes.

The Daily Show is hilarious, Jon Stewart is the perfect political humor show host to me (above Bill Maher). He has the charisma for it. Colbert is funny too but sometimes I just want to slap him even though he's obviously doing his bit in sarcasm.

The whole Geraldo bit (it's in Sasha's avatar, so he probably knows) was hilarious. I'll see if I can find a clip of it.
