I love Kevin Durant, this kid is going to be a star in the NBA, with superstar potential. He does absolutely everything, can play 3 positions, can shoot, can drive, athletic, good rebounder, he can defend, he's tough, AHHH. I love Durant. I know it has only been 4 games, but look at his numbers already: 20 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals, 2 blocks on 8-13 shooting, 3-6 3FG 21 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 5 blocks on 6-15 shooting, 2-5 3FG, 7-8 FT 21 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 4 blocks on 7-19 shooting, 1-8 3FG (ouch, bad shooting night) 29 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks on 9-17 shooting, 5-6 3FG Averages through first 4 games 22.8 ppg 9.5 rpg 2.0 apg 1.3 spg 3.3 bpg 47% FG 44% 3FG 87% FT :worthy: Book it - Kevin Durant = NBA star.
OMG!Great start. Those are amazing freshman numbers! Ive heard comparison's to TMac. He is really athletic, great shooter, very good scorer, and a decent rebounder. He will be an NBA star. I agree. He should be the 2nd pick in the NBA draft, next to Oden, if he chooses to enter the draft next year. By the way he's playing, that would be a good idea.
The only thing he hasn't proven yet is his passing ability. Otherwise he looks like the next Garnett!
Yeah I love the kid, I saw him play against Michigan State and he looks outstanding. He's already a level ahead of just about everyone on the court, and he will be a superstar one day..I love his versatility and size though
His play is inconsistent though. While his stats are consistent he has been having games where hes been having a good and a bad half, but I'm sure that will be different once he gets a little more experience on the floor.

He's been compared to T-Mac, not Garnett. Durant has a much better mid range, and long range shot than Garnett.

Haha yeah, really. Explain your KG comparison. I'd say if anyone, T-Mac, Pierce, Kobe, etc. He looks like he's going to be a very very good combo G/F in the NBA someday.

Although I agree the TMac comparison is more accurate. Durant is much more perimeter oriented.and I have to agree, durant is a sure-fire all-star in the future. He's 6'9-6'10, has excellent touch and is super athletic. the guy is a freak.
I'm with you cb, the dude is a man child, and f*cking beast......I was excited as hell when he commited to UT....and he's lived up to all the hype, to bad he's only gonna be at ut for a year but damn it's gonna be a great year, if oden doesn't come out he'll be the number 1 pick for sure
Well, Durant is at it again. Tonight he had 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 assists on 8-15 shooting. This kid is impressive. This freshman class is so incredibly talented. You got Durant, Oden, Young, Wright, Budinger, etc. Damn. But Durant, once again, puts up monster numbers. I need to see him play again. I got to see him once on ESPN, but I was flipping back and forth with an NBA game, so I didn't see all that much.

The statline is prety darn sick for a freshmen, acctually for anyone. He is obviously going to be a stud in the NBA.
I've been a huge Kevin Durant fan (my username is DurantDurant on BBB's)...this is my third year I believe. I've always been a big supporter of his and I caught one of his last games on ESPN2. He's right behind Oden in this class, he's unbelieveable. He just needs to go to the basket more but his jumper is outstanding. I think McGrady is the best comparison because they are both tall/lean/athletic...etc...But Durant's a better shooter and shot blocker. They have a few differences.
Durant is still cruising and putting up consistant numbers. This kid is an NBA star in the making, I really need to see him play soon. His Last 3 Games 22 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 1 block (6-13 FG, 4-6 3FG, 6-6 FT) 21 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks (8-15 FG, 1-4 3FG, 4-4 FT) 29 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks (9-17 FG, 5-6 3FG, 6-6 FT) Numbers Through 6 Games 22.3 ppg 9.5 rpg 2.2 apg 1.5 spg 2.7 bpg 48% FG 46% 3FG 91% FT :shok: And this is a freshman.
I love his game. JUst amazing stats and the fact he is a freshman is scary.I see him contending for rookie of the year once he reaches the NBA
Psh please. I'd posterize all up in his grrrrrill.OK here's a question: What NBA team would he most help?
just thought I'd bring this thread back from the grave just because durant is f*cking awesome.....tonight at texas tech......37 points and 23 rebounds......
