Hey I'm not saying the desert is appealing..lol trust me living there was a pain, but I watched alot of RR games when I lived there so I have a sense of pride. My California pride is based off 2 things: 1) I've lived here most my life, growing up cheering on UCLA and 2) I got accepted into USC lol
Losing Butch sure hurt Wisconsin, but actually you can pinpoint the day they got ranked #1 in the nation as the point they stopped playing really impressive basketball. Their offense didn't show up at MSU and then they lost at OSU. They slugged their way through the Big Ten tourney until the finals, then got exposed pretty bad by OSU. They just weren't clicking right somehow and maybe it was Butch but I thought it went back a bit earlier.
