So ya... Something happened... and I was gone for awhile and they let me out and I got back home right? But now my computer is a crackwhore and AIM and YIM won't open up. Now normally this wouldn't be a problem but currently it's my only form of communicating/Sending things too my brother and I need too send him a song. So can anyone help me fix this???
Re-install the normal version of AIM.Not the AIM Plus thing or withe its called..Just reinstall everything, thats gotta be your 1st move.
Go to Google and research reformatting your computer. I don;t know how to do it, but I know you can find some pretty straightforward directions.

Do you already have adaware ? if not download it and run it and it may help fix your probs..worth a try, any computer should have it anyway. I've had problems opening AIM before and ran it and restarted and worked.

FBB, but nvm. I doubt oyu have PMs and you dont have AIM. Well, just go there and post, they have tons of people who are good with computers.

I would suspect adware is the problem here. First move is to run a scan- ad-aware is a free one you can download and it is quite good. Like everyone said uninstalling can fix alot of problems with programs. If neither of these work try using you anti virus program to detect any virus's you may have. If you don't have an anti Virus you can download AVG free, for free. I have used it at different times and always found it to be quite good. If none of these fix the issue PM ME and I will try and run you through some more advanced things .

Mostly I just hate that most stuff that works on classic AIM doesn't work right in Triton. The stuff you listed doesn't interest me at all.Edit: And how easy do you possibly need typing away messages to be? All I do is right click, left click, type. I didn't say it was difficult. But it's one of the things which has improved.The tabbed browsing is the huge thing for me. I cant stand having 8 AIM conversations opened and having to go through them quickly..find the right person and blah blah. With Triton, they are all tabbed on the side one 1 box and you can click back and forth with ease and know when other people sent messages or are typing even when you're in a new box. The blinky stuff of the previous AIM doesn't do it for me. Send and recieving pictures/files is also a lot better as well.I just don't see how people can say Triton sucks. It doesn't suck, it's a huge improvement over the old AIM. I just think people get used to something and don't want to switch. To each it's own tho.
My school (45000 plus enrollment) had triton, but it blew balls so they changed to AIM express or whatever, and people complained, so they went back to classic. Probably 19 out of 20 people I have talked to hate Triton. The only ones I've known that have it on their computer are too inept to get their AIM classic to work right. The only positive I have heard is tabbed browsing, which as I said exists in other more functional versions.

Any other hacks on it make no sense as it has a ton more features, looks better, and is easier to use.

Guys! www.miniaim.net Its a "fan" created AIM program. Much LESS ram than regular aim and MUCH less than triton. Still hot as hell and I can't wait until she's 18 either!
