Wireless Internet Question

    Ok.. i have this cheap wireless internet thing.. the brand is GIGAFAST. Let's say my router is a GIGAFAST brand, and I want a new USB wirleess connection stick to my new laptop.. do I have to buy the same brand, or can it be from another brand? Cuz my current GIGAFAST USB stick is broken...thanks guys

    Another Brand should be fine. I haven't heard of GIGAFAST though

    You can buy another brand, but the connection might have some problems (although it really shouldn't). I usually stick with LinkSys or NetGear though... never heard of Gigafast either.

    Oh ok, that's great to hear then. Do I have to install some the new USB stick or do I just put it in and it'll work?

    Doesn't your laptop already come with a Wireless reciever? I kno mine does.

    If you're just going to plug it into the USB port then it shouldn't be that difficult to install. Just make sure to read the instructions to see whether you need to install the drivers before plugging in the card... most of the time if you need to do that there will be a CD included in the box, otherwise just plug it into the USB port and let Windows automatically install and configure your system for you and you should be good to go.
