damn Antonio..dere goes our top scorer from the bench..But damn keeping Fortson..for 13 million in 2 seasons..**** dats a rip he shouldnt be paid dat much
no he shouldnt, but remember if we didnt have that for the next 2 years we would be paying Calvin Booth that...so ill take it. Plus he will be solid for us off the bench for the next 2 seasons as well.
Hate to hear this from AD. He was arguably our best contributor off the bench in most facets of the game and really stepped his game up as a starter in the playoffs. I hope the Sonics will still actively pursue Antonio this off-season, although it now seems unlikely he'll be back.
I'm under the impression that Seattle have AD's rights and can offer him more than anyone else without It effecting the MLE, so really all AD is doing is trying to get more money. After the year he has had getting paid only 2 million is simply not enough.
And here I was thinking AD would stay under contract and Danny would opt out... At the end of the day, we got AD for a doddle when he was pretty much a patchy journeyman, and he's been given every opportunity to shine here. At the same time, he's grown as a player with added responsibility, and deserves much more than he's on.

He could double his pay with any team in the league right now. Of course he opts out. I think he is critical and the Supes will pursue him very hard. Danny had a good year but with the growing target on his back by the League and the officials...and his known "attitude issues" he was better off staying in his contract. No way he would ever make more. Besides, he is loved by the fans and the owners/mgmt treat him well. He could be traded in a package to recover from the loss of Ray should that happen, however.

If AD leaves I'll be disappointed but not crushed. I'd rather sign Nate, Ray and Vlade at the exclusion of signing AD. That's business, unfortunately. He's a good backup guard, and had a great playoff run (except for that damn free throw ) but throughout the year I thought his D was just adequate and even though his A/T ratio was good, I just saw lots of times where he'd pound and pound the ball, always seemed a second late making plays. The one thing we'll miss on the court is his aggressive, take it to the hoop style and getting to the line, especially in the playoffs (if we make it )
