well, by signing cheeks as our head coach, we will most likely have sammy back, but what about korver/green, who are also FAs? we are over the cap, so we have to use the early bird exeption, which means we can offer them 1000$, but if any team exceeds that amount, they get the player. so, what do you guys think are the chances of them being back? and if they aren't back, what can we do to fill their viod? because we can't sign any good FAs cuz of our bad salary cap, so what do you all think? will they be back?

Clarify that part for me, I don't really understand it. A thousand for a player? I still don't understand half the free agency rules, its way too confusing for me. Anyways, I think we'll be able to sign Korver and possibly Green back. Korver has a pretty big fanbase here and King will probably do what it takes to resign him. Green on the other hand is fifty fifty since his playing time is uncertain and at this age he needs to develop and make a bigger impact on the league compared to bench warming. He's capable of doing it and I think teams will be looking at him.

Plus Kyle said he wants to play here. He wants to be in Philadelphia. I think he`ll still be around next season, we need him.

As for Willie, Aznx said it right. Its basically up to BK if he wants him to be here. He wasn`t as productive as he used to be due to injury and what many said was Jim O`Brien`s coaching plans. But I think Willie will rebuild and work on his game better this summer to show Billy he still wants to be in a 76er uniform. I think we really need Green too as an excellent backup to Iverson.

The question is does he want to stay in Sixers uniform? I'm sure he might not want to play in the shadow of Allen Iverson since both the guys demand the ball and obviously Iverson is going to get the ball more than Green. King on the other hand I think wants to keep Green because of his statements in this one article I read on Sixers.com (it was posted here before- All the King's Men I think). He wants to keep the young core of Sixers and build around them or something.

They are both replacable. With the 45th pick in the draft, their will be a lot of talent available. A player like BJ Elder can replace Green. If they are in need of a swingman, Kelenna Azubuike will likely be available along with Hodge. Luther Head of Illinois can come in and make an immediate impact off the bench like Green as well. Eddie Basden, Jawad Williams...the list goes on. It would be nice for them to retain both, especially Korver, but they are replacable. Draft Luther Head, trade down to get Elder, problem solved. Well it's hard to replace Korver's shooting you could probably find a cheaper option in the FA market like Voshon Lenard.

Basically, it'll come down to how much the other teams are willing to offer to Dalembert, Green, and Korver. I have a feeling some teams will offer sammy a big contract that we aren't gonna be able to match. Willie will most likely leave based on the fact that his staying here is not best for his NBA career, he'll probablly go to somewhere like new orleans or atlanta where he'll get big minutes.

When it comes down to it I think we'll be able to resign both. It just depends on how much money they want, Billy King wants to resign both of them so I don't see either of them leaving. If one of the two were to leave I would think it would be Willie Green with all that he has been through this season, but with the hiring of Cheeks he could have a change of heart.
