The Lotto is tomorrow and does anybody think that it matters were the Warriors get to pick. It figures that when the Warriors have their most promising upcoming season in years, it looks like they maybe a lockout [IMG]
If the Warriors end up with the number one pick they will end up picking Marvin Williams according to espn. The NBA just came out with the Finals DVD and the Warriors championship is not included [IMG] it figures no respect at all.

I sure hope our luck this year makes up for our poor luck in previous seasons where we had great chances to get the #1 pick and end up with the 3-5 pick. All I ask is a top 3 pick instead of a #9 pick...

The Golden State Warriors odds of getting the #1 pick are 14 out of 1000. Crazy things can happen tho. But they will most likely land a pick between 8-10.

Golden State has a very bright future. Right now I think they can contend for the 8th spot. They can become even better depending on how well their offseason goes.

Agreed. We arent getting anywhere in the top 3, not even top 7. I dont know the exact odds but its pretty unlikely that we will get anything other than 9.

Man that lockout better not happen. Duckmyster said it: That would be typical warriors luck.

I managed to get the Warriors the #2 pick, the first time I did it, then a #3 pick in the 3rd try. Damn I'm good.

The Warriors should hire you to sit up there at the draft lotto, CR! Maybe some luck will rub off on them. I'll be watching and hoping for some divine intervention, I think.

You know it, Zhone! Actually Baron Davis might be our good luck charm.

If anyone isn't clear on the draft works:

Quote:

How it works: Fourteen ping-pong balls will be placed in a drum and four balls drawn to the top. Of the 1,001 possible combinations, 1000 are assigned to teams prior to the draft. The lowest-ranked team receives the most combinations (250) and the highest-ranked team receives the fewest (five).

Once the first set of balls is drawn, the team that has been assigned that combination is awarded the No. 1 pick. The balls are placed back in the drum and the process is repeated to determine the second and third picks. If the one unassigned combination is formed, the balls are drawn to the top again.

After the top three picks have been awarded, the remaining teams are slotted by the inverse order of their regular-season records.

No luck we're #9 still. Which is also good, because we didn't fall.
