Some guy posting on the MSNBC web site had us taking Jarrett Jack because, "He would team real well with Francis in the Back Court," Okay Jack's good but i got offended because, frankly, anyone who watched the end of the season saw that Jameer is better, all we really need is a center and possibly a 2 if we don't wanna start Jameer and Steve together, and we can get one better than DeShawn, I just wanted to say that as a Jameer supporter I was offended by the Jack concept.

I agree completly with you and I also want to say it's good to see a new Magic fan here at JBB. [IMG]

Jameer Nelson is a very talented young player and I would hate for a player like Jack to come in and take touches away from him. I think we should either go after a SG or C because we need players at those positions since Francis isn't a true SG and Battie/Cato aren't great. We are fine at the PG position and need to look elsewhere in the draft.

A Center is needed and there is Jon Petro who is 7'0" but a rookie at Center and coming from France maybe not a good choice but hes a good defender and we could use him + a nice baby hook. I also like Ike Diogu as a back-up Pf. As an impact player Sean May and maybe Warrick would do good if looking for an Impact player. We should look at the 2nds for a Sg.

Heh you read my mind as we can swap 2nd with the raps and have the cavs 2nd so maybe a late Pg for the Cavs pick maybe Salim Stoudamire he has a nice 3 a little off in the Tourney when Arizona was beat by ill. He prob wont be much of a passer i dont really know i only watched highlights of his game winning 3s(Nice). [IMG]

I don't want a PG because that will take touches away from Jameer but I do like the idea of getting Hodge.

I dont like it either i liked the guard rotation that Jent used but Salim is listed as a SG so maybe he would just be our small 3-point shooter or a desent trade with him and kato or Doug. Drafting a Pf back-up a Sg/Sf(Hodge) and a descent Center is what I would like. #11 Pf back-up Ike him and Dwight man a powerful duo in the future, Raps pick Hodge, Cavs pick someone to trade with Kato or doug for a good defender we dont need him to score as Dwight will get the points. A Sf though in case Hill/Turk gets injured like this year.

Oh ok. If he can play SG then I think that would be a good pick. I also like getting a SF since Hill is older and who knows how he will hold up and Hedo isn't a great starter and we could use him coming off the bench.

Honestly, I don't know why, but Julius Hodge never really impressed me that much. With that being said, I wouldn't be too disappionted in takin ghim in the 2nd. I would love a SG/SF combo with our pick. If we draft a PG at 11, then I will be pissed. I think we need to take the BPA that isn't a PG.

After looking at many mock drafts and thinking a lot, I think the Magic will go with Granger or Webster.

    It does look like it...

I personally hope we are able to get Antoine Wright. He has been compared to Ray Allen and has good size for our 2 position. I like his shot and he'll probably work very well with Dwight in the future...

Other than that, I'd be fine with Granger, Webster, and maybe Warrick (although his position really makes it difficult to work him into the lineup)...

Yeah Wright, Granger or Webster would be nice. I wouldn't want to draft Hakim Warrick because he is to small for the PF position. He is a tweener and wouldn't be as safe as taking Granger, Webster or Wright.

I doubt Warrick would be lottery. His body shape really leaves doubts on what he'll play in the NBA. He'd be a late first rounder.

Webster and Granger seem like the best choices right now, as both could be potential replacements for Grant Hill when he retires and they become mature. Both could be gone by the 11th pick though.

Webster at #11 sounds good to me.

I think we might get Fran Vazquez who has shown huge improvement down in Spain. He could possibly make a big impact on the Magic, and could be a very good European player coming into the NBA.

The promblem with International players is they play alot different then the NBA players. In the NBA the level is much different take Yao for example he has to play hard not be a nice guy as in playing in Asia. The best bet is take someone with 4 years of experience in collage like Nelson.
