    1 - Milwaukee - Andrew Bogut
Marvin Williams is the alternative for Milwaukee, but I'm fairly confident they will select the far more polished, and only one year older Bogut. If that is coupled with the return with TJ Ford (if not, Maurice Williams is fine) the Bucks are laughing.

    2 - Atlanta - Chris Paul
If they were drafting on talent, they'd probably go for Williams, but he's a combo forward along the lines of Al Harrington, so unless they plan to either trade him or run Marvin off the bench, Paul is their pick. Deron Williams is a better floor general and bigger, Felton a better passer and of comparable quickness, but Paul had his name up in lights 12 months earlier.

    3 - Portland - Marvin Williams
If he slips to Portland, they have to pick him, regardless of their glut of SFs... because directly following him is a glut of PGs, the Blazers already being invested in Telfair. If I'm the Blazers I try to run Outlaw or Miles at the 2, or look into trading Miles for whatever can be acquired (Erick Dampier? )

    4 - New Orleans - Deron Williams
Ray Felton is also a possibility. Gerald Green could also be on the radar, to pair with JR Smith on the wing, but I'm thinking they'll opt for the best point guard in this draft. Magloire is back, JR Smith is talented but the Hornets have several holes to fill.

    5 - Charlotte - Ray Felton
Bernie Bickerstaff won't even blink here, if Felton is still on the board, unless something else unthinkable happens. It is possible that Charlotte try to trade up to secure Marvin Williams, but Felton isn't a bad 2nd prize. Besides, they have another pick in the lottery to bolster the line-up.

    6 - Utah - Gerald Green
You probably wouldn't call Gerald Green a "Utah guy", but I don't think they have much of a choice here. With all non-reach PGs off the board, the Jazz could pair this uber talented high schooler with Andrei Kirilenko to form a fearsome and lengthy perimeter duo. PG is still a problem, but their hands are tied here.

    7 - Toronto - Martynas Andriuskevicius
I was split on this one. I thought the Raptors might look at the tough and centre-capable Fran Vazquez to pair with Bosh in the frontcourt... but you can't teach '7"3. Babcock's livelihood depends on this pick, so he'd better deliver. I guess, if they are convinced Chris Taft can play some C, he'd be a possibility here.

    8 - New York - Chris Taft
This is a logical pick. The Knicks are decent at every position, so they just need talent. Erring on the side of size here.

    9 - Golden State - Hakim Warrick
Probably the hardest pick to pick in the draft, because Golden State are stacked next year, including blue chip big men. As we saw in the final stretch of the season, Golden State are going to emulate Phoenix's style of play. Warrick is the right pick, probably as an energizer as a pick. As I said, this could be any number of guys, most likely a small forward, which raises many possibilities.

    10 - LA Lakers - Fran Vazquez
Hate to agree with Mr Thewlis yet again, but the Lakers need size in the biggest way. The likes of Splitter and Sean May are possible here, but Vazquez is more of an inside player than Splitter and bigger than May, who would suffer in the Lakers' forward log-jam. Vazquez could be their defensive anchor for 10-12 years.

    11 - Orlando - Tiago Splitter
Well, this is looking nice and uncreative here. If Splitter is the Dirk-clone (at least in style of play) as promised, he'll pair with D-Ho beautifully, and cause match-up nightmares for years to come. They could also look at a 2-guard here, i.e. Martell Webster, but will probably look for a frontcourt partner for their young stud.

    12 - LA Clippers - Danny Granger
Again, the Clippers are a team with talent at every position, so they draft the most talented remaining player.

    13 - Charlotte - Martell Webster
Another logical pick, Charlotte are starting to pick up talent at most positions, but could do with more on the wing. So it will be Webster or a like player here (unless something goes pear-shaped earlier, where Charlotte pick a wing early and a PG here).

    14 - Minnesota - Joey Graham
Minnesota are looking at a big re-shuffle, why not pair this future All-NBA defender with KG at the forward? Nasty. Jarrett Jack a possibility here, he just strikes me as a Cassell-replacement/Minnesota guy.

    15 - New Jersey - Sean May
New Jersey need a bit of inside scoring to complement their big 3 on the outside. My thoughts are that they get SAR through free agency, and May in the draft, who will come off the bench to play 14-18 minutes a night. His polished post game will be another string to the New Jersey bow. Now that I think of it, something weird could happen here where New Jersey trade this pick either for a ready-made player (to keep Kidd happy) or trade up.

    16 - Toronto - Jarrett Jack
Jack is a possibility to get taken a fraction earlier, but if he is still on the board here, he is a no-brainer as Chrissy Bosh's best mate, and ruggedly handsome PG. Fills a glaring need. God bless us, everyone.

    17 - Indiana - Rashad McCants
Now I hate McCants with a passion, and would rather have him go later or not at all... but he has game, just a ********ed up head. Indiana could do with another 2-guard now that Uncle Reggie has done the way of the buffalo, and the volatility of Ronald Artest.

    18 - Boston - Charlie Villenueva
A tough pick, as Boston are a team with no major holes. My thought here is, if Antoine Walker is a goer, they might indeed like a combo forward who can get up and down the court.

    19 - Memphis - Andrew Bynum
Now, knowing Jerry West he will do something redonkulous with this pick, like take Bracey Wright... Memphis finally have a chance to add a blue chip centre in Bynum, they should probably do it. Or else.

    20 - Denver - Antoine Wright
Kiki Vandewhege would be a very happy man if this was to happen... and it may.

    21 - Phoenix - Channing Frye
I like this one. Is an Arizona alum, probably better than Stephen Hunter already.

    22 - Denver - Andray Blatche
They got their hands on a coveted SG, now they take someone with a bit of upside.

    23 - Sacramento - Nemanja Aleksandarov
Slides way, way down. Sacramento would love to get their hands on him.

    24 - Houston - Wayne Simien
Need a PF that can play, in the worst way. Ike Diogu possibly.

    25 - Seattle - Francisco Garcia
AD and Flip are probably leaving, so we could go for a bit of a combo guard in their place. Can spell messrs Ridnour, Allen and Lewis (hallowed be thy names).

    26 - Dallas - Johan Petro
Well, the Dampier experiment didn't turn out too well, and Dirk hasn't got much behind him. Plus, Mark Cuban loves black guys who can jump high. Probably.

    27 - Detroit - Ryan Gomes
I dunno... I'm getting bored. When you average out his fatness and Tayshaun's anoxeria you have one averagely sized SF.

    28 - San Antonio - Kennedy Winston
This will probably end up being some '5"7 SF from the Ukraine that we've never heard of.

    29 - Miami - Randolph Morris
They were hoping Andrew Bynum would fall this far for some Shaq-Fu lessons, but they'll go with Randolph Morris methinks... to back up Shaq next year and beyond.

    30 - New York - Julius Hodge

That's why he played the 4 throughout his college career. He may be "fat" in your eyes, but his added bulk is what allows him to play the 4 at 6'8". Secondly, how can you call Gomes fat, yet leave Sean May alone? May has a good 20-30 pounds on Ryan. I pity the team that takes May over Gomes just because he played at a better program. Ryan Gomes was a better college player and will be a better pro.

Yes. Detroit are picking 26th, not 27th as in his mock.

I heard Chris Taft has a bad work ethic [IMG].

Dallas still has the Georghe Murhesan clone Pavel Podzokline from last years draft as a center project. Don't know if they'll go with Petro....

Nice draft you got there, probably one of the better ones on JBB. After Taft's workout with New York two days ago I do not believe that NY will be picking him. Scouts say he was very disapointing and even had Isiah shacking his head toward him. Also can you please explain your hate for Rashad Mccants. I don't believe your a Duke fan and you shouldn't hate anybody in sports, more have a dislike for their style of play or how they act on or off the court. I do like your comments toward the end of the draft though, funny stuff.

I think we use the word "hate" in a loose definition here. McCant's ain't like a ********* who stole my bike and is dating my 16 yr old niece and has an Al Qaeda tattoo on his neck, and is an undersize 2 guard with no defense in his game...okay,maybe that last part. Don't hate him, really, don't want him especially even at pick 25,rather take J Hodge.
