General manager Allan Bristow said Wednesday the team would bring in the top-three-rated point guards in the draft for workouts next week, along with a couple of high-school prospects and several others. The Hornets will work out players next Wednesday and Friday, but the emphasis on point guards doesn't mean the team won't attempt to re-sign free agent Dan Dickau or keep Speedy Claxton. So it wouldn't necessarily mean we'd have to do something with either one of those guys." Bristow said Wake Forest sophomore Chris Paul, Illinois junior Deron Williams and North Carolina junior Raymond Felton will work out next week, as will high-school senior shooting guards Gerald Green of Gulf Shores (Texas) Academy and Martell Webster of Seattle Prep. Additionally, the Hornets will look at North Carolina junior power forward Sean May and Spanish power forward Fran Vazquez, as well as Arizona senior power forward Channing Frye. </div> Source
