When the Spurs-Pistons play for the NBA final, the Pistons are already a marked team, by the disaster earlier this year. Anything remotely resembling a cheap shot by a Pistons player and they'll be tossed. This is just my opinion and I don't like, Commish Stern, and I bet he's told the refs to watch them closely. I like the Pistons because I think they resemble the Spurs. Brown was Pop's mentor when he was coach in S.A. and they both dictate the same philosphy of relentless defense always. Look for the Pistons to get baited also by mainly Ginobili and Bowen. Gino may get killed by Big Ben but he may make it look so flagrant that B.B. will get tossed. Looked what Bowen did earlier in the season, when they played the Piston's. The Spurs are the Golden Boys of the NBA, sqeeky clean image and nothing close to any scandals or thuggish attitudes. They are great role models for kids and that should be something all NBA fans should appreciate because they are the latest and closest thing to the Great MJ and the NBA needs that now. Thanks and good luck Pistons. It should be a great series. JT
Don't you think if the Pistons were marked, one of them would've been ejected/suspended by now for either the brawl or for anything after the brawl? David Stern takes very good care of his Detroit Pistons. Nothing will happen to them.

There was only one player marked from the brawl, that player was Ron Artest. Oh and it's going to be the Spurs and Heat in the Finals.

Your Big 3 aren't Angels and I still think the Spurs have the ability to bait the Pistons into making frustrating fouls that can be made to look like very flagrant fouls. Like I said though, I still like the Pistons and it should be a great series. If somehow the Heat wins, which they won't, the Spurs can handle them. Good luck to both teams. Later guys. JT
I havent seen the refs being overly cautious with the Pistons and hitting them with ticky tack fouls. If anything it looks like the refs allow a physical game when the Pistons play.
JTex and all you Piston's fans, dont' coutn your chickens before they hatch. Who says you guys are even going to the finals anyway.... We're up 2-1 on you guys... I recall Need4Sheed saying that there's no way in hell that the Heat will ever steal one in Detroit.. looks like the jokes on you Pistons fans again!
JT, honestly I don't see anyone being marked If the two teams meet in the finals. What happened with the brawl everyone around the league including Stern is trying to forget. If the two teams meet in the finals It will be a very pysical battle between two team with plenty of big bodies who like to bang in the post and many good pysical defenders. However I don't think you will find any more respect from any two teams as these two have for each other. The Pistons aren't the bad boys of the 90's, they won't flatten guys just to make a statement. What you saw in the Spurs/Sonics series wouldn't be seen in the finals no matter what.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> agree with you to a cetain point, but the Pistons better corral the animals which they call fans.</div> This is not cool at all, what you saw in November was a few fans that were out of control. We're passionate about basketball yes, but animals I think not. I bet half the people around the country would love to have their hometeam have as electrifying an atomsphere to play in.
