When I first heard Chris Paul was a top 3 pick, I was like [IMG] "WHAT?", why would you pick him this high. The only thing he did was have a good freshman season. All he does is score, and have quickness. When you measure him, he's barely 5"11. When teams start having him work-out, they're going to notice, he's not what all the hype everyone is seeing him to be. Why would a team waist a top 3 pick on him. I think Deron Williams and Raymond Felton are better than this guy. If a NBA guard like Andre Miller or Lindsey Hunter cover this guy, they're push him around. He just had a really good team around him.

Tell me what you think about Chris Paul

I am not so sure about the fact that Paul will go ahead of Raymond Felton and Deron Williams, two players that proven in the NCAA tournament that they can be great pros unlike Paul who lead his team to the terrific thirty two [IMG]. But yes I can understand why Paul would be a top three pick. Paul is a leader and has a passion for the game that is probably the best in the draft. He is a great player on both ends of the court, led the ACC in steals in his Freshman year if I remember correctly. And well you hit his only weakness right on the nail, it's his height, which is something you can't change but I the team that drafts him will have to make do with the height they got. Also Paul is higher on teams draft board is because he has more potential to be that superstar point guard.

Chris Paul is a great leader, and decision maker, and for someone at his age to be that good at it, the NBA is shocked. I don't thionk he is the best point guard in the draft, but I do believe he will go the highest. I think Williams is the most talented point in the draft. I can see him becoming a Jason Kidd type player.

I stay with my stance from day one, Chris Paul is a way overrated player. He can score, he can pass, but the knock on him his whole career was his defense. The kid can not lock an NBA point guard down one on one. If you watched him in the only Wake vs. UNC game, although Wake won, Felton time and time again ran all over him. He would take made baskets, get the inbounds, and turn it into a fast break layup on Paul. He has an attitude (punching Julius Hodge in the nuts!) and also threw a punch at Daniel Ewing which went "unnoticeed" by the refs. He is only 5-11 and to me, has done nothing to prove he is better than Williams, Felton, or for that matter Jarrett Jack. He is a flashier, mayber better at this age version of Travis Best. If you seen best play in college, SAME EXACT PLAYER.

The only real knock I have on Chris Paul is his height. Sure he is 5-11 however he makes up for that weakness by his shear athleticism and intangibles. Chris has very quick feet which allows him to create havoc on defense(hence why he led the ACC in steals his freshman year). He also is a very gifted shooter and has proven to consistantly hit the three while making things happen going to the rim. I personally think Chris is at his best when he is attacking the basket. He is one of those players who just makes stuff happen and he almost always makes the correct play(score or pass). One of the other things NBA GMs will like is his ability to completely control the tempo of the game. He is basketball smart well beyond his years.

I can understand the knock on his height(I am actually interested to see how he holds up in the pros) however I am extremely he will be either the first or second PG selected in this year's draft, leaning more to the first.
