whoa...that's a pretty big list...but i'm surprised that louis williams declared for the nba. also surprised that danny granger isnt on the list...and why is chris taft there...omg if the raps draft him..
apparently babs has no backup plan. either he gets felton or deron or else he's completely bomb this draft. That's why granger isnt up there
Those workouts just go up June 5th, the Draft isn't until the 28th so i assume Babcock is scheduling more workouts and they will be released when they have all the details.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Bobcats:</div><div class="quote_post">I'm surprised Granger isn't coming to workout.</div> I think i saw somewhere that said he'll be working out with toronto, so he probably will. And it says "Stay tuned to this page. It will be updated as information becomes available." at the top of the raptors pre-workout draft page so there probably be more players that'll come.

No Granger!!!! Not even Green or Webster. They should work out every player predicted 1-20 as far as i'm concerned, no such thing has to much information. Especially about a draft that is SOOO crucial to both Babs continued employment, but the entire franchise.
The draft is on June 30th. Those workouts only go to June 5th. I'm sure Babcock will work out more players during the course of the month.
I believe that June 5th is the last date that Raptors can bring in anybody for a workout. From June 7th to 10th, the Chicago pre-draft camp starts and most of the prospect players will be there to showcase their skills to NBA teams.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Dabigboshdog:</div><div class="quote_post">aww crap we're screwed for this draft. there's no way we're getting felton or deron</div> Even if we don't, isn't there plenty of talent in the remainder of the draft?
Why are we screwed? We knew Deron Williams was out of reach, and we don't exactly die and live by Ray Felton. There are plenty of talent here, but after the initial 4~5 picks, it is like picking between a 17 year old Valentine and a 18 year old Valentine.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting SkiptoMyLue11:</div><div class="quote_post">Even if we don't, isn't there plenty of talent in the remainder of the draft?</div> No Granger, Green, or Webster though is kinda odd. Green wont likely make it to us, and i'm not too dissapointed, but there were alot of rumours early on about Babs liking him, figured he'd at least get a show. Granger and Webster are 2 guys we should definately be looking at, along with Wright and Graham. Granger in my opinion is the between the 3rd and 5th best player in the draft, overall, and currently and he's EXACTLY what the Raptors need. Someone that can score in a variety of ways to help Bosh but most importantly is consistent, hard working, hard nosed and will play defence and give himself up for his team. I dont know what to think knowing the Raps arent bringing him in. Do they see this and dont need a workout to want him or are they just STUPID and dont plan on taking him at all. Here's what i think....i think they already know they're trading the 7th pick for picks later on...maybe Denvers 20th and 22nd. Why do I think that....there are 3 players on that list that are considered top 10 picks, one of them is gaurenteed to be gone by 7(Deron Williams) another one is likely gone (Felton) and the last one is Taft, who some have slipping to 10 or even early teens because of his unimpressive attitude and play recently. Why would they bring in 20+ people who are predicted 16th or later and only 3 that are even remotely close to a 7th pick??? if Babcock wastes another low pick on a guy that's not supposed to go till 20 i'm going to blow my head off! Sidenote: I hope we grab Daniel Ewing with one of our second rounders, he is, like Granger, the kind of players we need to surround our man Chris Bosh with.
^ agreed. unless babcock knows that he's trading it, we're pretty much screwed. we havent got granger green or anyone else that any of the mock drafts have us picking. Daniel Ewing seems like a good pick for us in the second round...
Don't get so paranoid man. We'll have a chance to take a look at Granger, Green, Wright and Webster in the Chicago camp. Aside from Deron Williams and Ray Felton, everyone on the list are expected to go beyond 10th,, mostly second rounders and I think Babcock's idea is to take a look at who we're going to pick with the 16th pick and beyond. He most likely has his eyes set on one of the aforementioned swingmen to use the 7th pick on.
